dc,

thanks, they are quite a few, which one people think can move the cable? Surely, not all of them.

Edited: Silly me, it has to be the CPI, I should pay more attention really

The CPI and jobless would be the ones but for me news is just the excuse I get on only where I am comfortable with the price if the price stays where it is there will have to be some wild movements

I was thinking the same, so I closed half the position for +15 pips and removed the stop loss, I don't want be taken out by a spike

No, I was long, just closed at 930 for another 59 pips, only half the position though, still a win is a win is a win

it came close to hitting upper target there without hitting entry so will wait for the short

spike took my FTSE out

eh-up Rav, i'm flat now, out for another (smaller) loss on the 94 long. I won't be re-arming the breakout orders today. Where's your stop mate?

Yes, Big Ben doesn't work if the news goes against you.

Thankfully i've only had to bear 9 losing days since July 1st (date i began live trading), and not all of them for full risk loss.

How have you and others found December trading on cable in the past? Have you found it worthwhile trading between Christmas and New Year for instance?

Very clean moves during the festive period last year on cable, I will definitely be dialling in from Tignes this year.

I am out with a loss of 5 pips....too slow and as news is ahead...am not too confident of my position

rav700,

Are you still trading with Tom and Felix?
