Geopolitics and the Consequences

The Germans anticipating the collapse of Europe.

Makes sense.

Only idiots would start or join a process that is very much akin to sawing off the branch one's sitting on without having a clear idea of what the future could hold :p

It started with Assange and has now moved to the mainstream, one of the warrants allows for them to "add, copy, delete or alter" computer files at the ABC. The media were silent or supported the same treatment of Assange, now they are receiving the same treatment.

The same is true for censorship, first start with the left calling to silence conservative voices, applauded by the MSM, they will eventually move onto everyone else.

Governments only want you to know what they want you to know, being assisted in that quest by citizens is the perfect excuse they have - 1984.

The Trump visit is finally over - no disastrous tweets so far.
No reports of him eating his peas off his knife with elbows on the table either ! Or are they being kind ?

The lovely Melania as beautiful as ever !!!

Big brother has been born and will no doubt get more capable with AI.
I applaud anti terrorism moves but for everybody ? That's too much imho

More Bizarre news out of Europe.

Le Pen's lawyer, David Dassa-Le Deist, told AFP that the law in question, which prevents people from spreading violent, terrorist, or pornographic content, was being used to "summon" Le Pen and limit her "freedom of expression".

The French National Assembly and European Parliament both waived her immunity status as a Parliamentary deputy in 2017 in relation to the case.

As per U-tube there is a fight back against Somali pirates. About time.
They get the message when the ships fight back with bullets, not do-gooder's prayers.

I never thought I’d see the day when I’d agree with a Communist against my own government.

'Liberalism's had its day', boasts Putin

Liberalism may produce muddled Government as in Brexit but it is still imho far preferable to having some awful dictator ruining your life.

Brexit is simply a collective kick in the nuts that the UK Govt (any persuasion) richly deserves. It's the long festering backlash against Govt enabled promotion of minority interests over the unrepresented masses. The critical mass has been reached and there's no going back. It will not be business as usual. The people have had enough of playing the docile passengers, we are now in the driving seat. (y)

Boris has publicly stated that he is prepared to suspend Parliament if they can't get their minds around Brexit !!
They still think they are in charge. Huh. The referendum was agreed to be mandatory but many MPs won't keep to their promises.
Roll on AI. Might sort their addled brains out.

Roll on AI.

The referendum legally was non-binding and advisory.

What politicians do or say is another matter. Yes TM did invoke article 50, prematurely and we can all see how that's worked out.

Pres. Putin's remarks about the West's failing Liberal parties made me laugh. He may be right about the upsurge of
Populism though. Many people of Turkey have suffered greatly from purges by the dictatorial leadership. But they have responded with courage to defy the Establishment in the Istanbull re-run election.
Surely it is better for the average person to live in a free and just system than a dictatorship, even if it is a bit of a muddle.

You need to define dictatorship, the EU could be considered to be a dictatorship if enough people recognise it so.
