FTSE100 Intraday Trading - September 03

another gap filling exercise yesterday.

today looks novel

no opening gap !

lol

but we have now hit first fib at 290

mornin' bonsai - what's with the bunch of flowers?

back early from French trip since car broke down and is residing
in a French garage waiting for a new water pump. I wanted to return home rather than continue but having to do penance for
"ruining my holiday" by doing some decorating - only the odd
fleeting visit therefore and probably no trading.

hope tradings been good - the board looks a bit quiet.

any downside will confirm yesterday's shooting star - I've got fib support at 278?

jon

bunch of flowers ?

agree fibs at 90/78/66

lets hope we dont need the last one.

french garages !
suppose they told you they dont stock water pumps
for foreign cars ?

if it's not a bunch of flowers, what is it that's replaced the bear!!

no - they've got the pump, just soo bezee for the next three
weeks. My porsche being the oldest one there might have
something to do with it!!!

signalled in @95 - but not taken it with paintbrush in hand - so
maybe some up in prospect? (AVZ thinks so)

lol
its a japanese maple tree.

all looks a bit corrective to me at the moment.
a/d looks iffy as well.

another pause - this painting's not getting the attention it
deserves

can't see you as a maple tree - Radio Ham (mayday, mayday -
ah! yellowjack) if you go back that far, or that bear - but a maple
tree, Japanese or not, no way.

looks like you might be right (there's unusual!!!) but a bit of
candlestick support at 94 has held so far.

barjon
don't call me bonsai for nothing !

bonsai

oh so slowly did the light dawn. little oaks from mighty acorns eh.

how old is the maple? did you start it from scratch?

tiny range indeed, johnnyy - glad I've been painting - suppose
USA will call the shots from here on. (avz still thinks up)

FTSE finding it difficult to follow the DOW up today.

I guess there must be an expectation that the DOW will
not keep its gains. Having said that it is still BP causing the
damage.

barjon
dont have a scanner to post mine.
but they look quite similar.

start from scratch ?

Poems are writ by fools like me
but only God can make a tree.

on the market, a/d has been climbing since about 11am.
so standby soon for some volatility.

No.1 Trading Tip: Don't trade when you're dog-tired,have a sore-throat and a head-ache as well as being under time pressure. I knew I was doing wrong even whilst doing it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

johnnyy - know the feeling, I don't even have to be dog tired etc.

bonsai

meant do you start from saplings or get those already some
years old already bonsaid.

how do you keep the yahoo chart big at the start of your thread
now they've changed their chart formats? I can hardly see the
new ones.

barjon

I start mine as 1 yr maidens. Not into all that germination stuff.
but I dont want anyone else messing with the shapes.

they are made to be slow growers by being trained and
'pinched out'. The one you are looking at is about 30 yrs old.

on the chart size, I put in code to control the size.
this is an extract

" periodMACDHigh=60&height=550&width=700&source="

so you can modify your own using View Source.

Visiting hours PM only next week.So back to FTSE.See you all next week(I'm not as good as I thought I was).

so, we got that volatility !
but too late in the day for me.
and with the dow on the move, the gap up tomorrow
will steal the rest.

but if it falters ......................

I think downish today. But it's been a while and so my eye may not be 'in'.Bonsai, why was the volatility too late?

hi jonnyy
too late for me as I didnt get a signal until about 3.45.

too little time to have any assurance of profit before the close
given the stop was back in the 90 area.

volatility can be a 2 edged knife.

Just got out-paying attention to RSI.Still I feel better for yesterday.Even though I'm more ill.
