FTSE 100 Intraday trading - MAY

bonsai may be a lonely voice at present, but I'm sure that people will add to this thread; perhaps the next thread could have the date on it, like 'FTSE100 intraday Friday 23 May'? :D

hi tom
yes, everybody seems very shy or they dont trade the day.
or they post somewhere wlse.

seems I was wrong about the gap up.
lol

Skimbleshanks
thats a thought but I started this for company while I am online.
and so far I feel like a goldfish. 350+ lurkers but no traders.

Good morning bonsai

I am not trading the ftse at present.

I am trading the dax and the dow.

Strangely enough though if I was trading the ftse instead of the dax I would have made more money.

rg
I sometimes trade the dow.
strangely enough, I make more money on the ftse too.

lol

mmilllar
been to the chatrooms.
but they dont leave a record behind of what people say and do.

so not much use/help to anyone who is not in the chatroom or joins late ?

will it or wont it break up ?
volume looks a bit low and gdp this morning.
and looking a bit overbought.
but while 1 day is rising , looking for entry to long.

thats more like it
now we will see what's what, what ?

fill that gap with ..........

1min. future 3x3 P&F gave a sell at 99 target 87. Gap was 86. Interesting.....

bonsai - your posts are an eye opener. I would write but I have nothing constructive to say. Thanks

OBSERVATION:
"The day's High or Low is made in the first Hour"

Bonsai's chart for 19-25/05/03 confirms.

I know its a very small sample, but does anyone have any experience of trading off such a simple entry rule??

reddyd
I have heard tell of sustems like that and they may work
but if you use it, keep a sharp eye on dow futures /

would not be surprised now if we start climbing quite soon
we should find supprt on yesterdays opening at about this level

Bonsai

Are you referring to the effect that NY trading has on London's opening (i.e. London needs to play catch up initially), subject to how the US futures traded after hours in US??

Do you have any experience of "arbing" FTSE future against S&P/Dow?
