Brexit and the Consequences

According to the Guardian, this morning,, which appears to have a limited acceptance on this thread, there is a growing desire for a second referendum.

I still believe that it would be another serious mistake to change direction in midstream.

Cameron got it badly wrong in calling for a referendum in the first place thinking the vote would go his way. Even if he had to allow a referendum he should have insisted that a change would have to be asked for by at least a 20% majority.

So now we may have all the expense of a second one. What if that narrowly goes to stay ? Do we then have the best of 3 with yet another one ? Usual Westminster muddle by the same incompetent people.

A poll of trade unionists sponsored by guess who? -a trade union
Hardly representative

Just another delaying tactic to ensure we never leave.

It really is all academic.

The way things are shaping up, there won't be an EU to stay part of soon.
Yet another inconvenient truth that the remoaners prefer to dodge and overlook.

Spain is further colluding with the Moroccan traffickers and providing another port of entry for the economic migrants. Since this story was written, the situation has been made worse now that Italy has refused to allow migrant boats to dock.

It's less of a referendum then more about what Brexit means?

Up until now it's been much about a load of b0ll0X!

We have as before three choices; Parliament votes on the what ever deal/agreement is reached, we have elections on parties stances wrt to the deal on the table or the people vote on the deal.

One thing is sure, Brexit is an absolute farce and will continue to be one.

Where is Farage and UKIP now? Let them lead I say and see what the UK turns into. Meglomania MUKGA! :whistling

Do you mean Spain as in the government or just some Spanish peeps trying to make money trafficking illegals.

I supposed with your derranged take on events, UK is now colluding with Albanian traffickers providing another port of entry for the economic migrants.

You obviously have no scrouples in distorting truth and twisting news to suit your aims. For your sins you will be damned in the fires of hell and roasted well at 230C gas mark 8.

Why would Theresa May, the most powerful deep state Prime Minister ever, give up her position of power and lose the opportunity of maintaining the deep state control of the Brexit narrative?

They have to ensure that EU military unification completes to its fullest extent first, regardless of Brexit, they have a Syrian narrative and ant-Russian narrative to see play out as far as they can spin it.

There is no way that there will be a second referendum, or a Labour government (the deep state's worst nightmare) in the near future and no way Farage is going to make a jot of difference to anything (other than his increasing bank balance).

What r u waffling on about?

Farage and UKIP can't lead as they are not in power. All they can do is what they have always done which is to inform the public of the folly of the EU.

Farage, Davis and Hoey are doing a speaking tour of the UK starting in Bolton on the 22nd. I'm sure you might learn something if you attended (y)

If any of the Tory aka UKIP followers had enough brass at thinking they could topple her and win an election they would have done so.

Brexiteers are losing the argument and everyone knows it and sees it.

Some of you have turned on Gove and soon country will turn on Boris as he becomes increasingly more erratic and desperate like a little kiddy having a sugar rush on sweet Brexit. Case of too much Brexit wouldn't you say.

Peeps will then turn on moggy and finally farage. I see Blair type outcome for them all.

Britain like the Irish and the Greeks will wonder WTF were we thinking. (y)

I was referring to your BS waffle about Spain colluding with Morrocon's bringing in illegal migrants into the EU.

How can it not be clear? I said Spain

The Spanish people don't have any say in the matter, for as long as they keep voting in socialist Govt.

That will probably change over time as they finally catch up with their deluded thinking on the EU. (y)

FYI the headline reads...

Human traffickers targeting SPAIN to smuggle migrants into Europe from Morocco
Almost 23,000 people arrived in Spain from Morocco or Algeria last year - double the rate from 2016

What you said is "Spain is further colluding with the Moroccan traffickers and providing another port of entry for the economic migrants. "

Do you not see the slant you give to the article. It underlies your brain's comprehension of what ever it processes through your eyes. I'm sure your eyes are ok but I'd get your brain looked at if I were you (y)

That's 3 times you wrote "Spain" in your reply.

I went on to say that the problem has become much worse since the article was written as Italy has stopped the boats from landing.

Are you having difficulty understanding?

A criminal element does not represent a country.

Spain isn't doing this it's traffickers targetting Spain after Italy.

Do you not see the distinction or your twist on the news? You being obtuse or do you sincerely not understand the written words?

Lets see if you can get that walnut sized brain around this.

Spain is picking up migrants. That is to say, they are not landing, they are being picked up. Are you getting the picture yet?

I see your interpretation which is not the same as Spain colluding with Morrocon trafickers.

Agree with you that EU needs to change policy and send them back, confescate trafickers boats and lock them up, even better.

Instead they become cheap non-documented labour working in low paid jobs.

Walnuts are good for your brain. (y)

It is if the NGO boats are sanctioned by Spain/EU.

Well that's clearly not going to happen if Spain/EU have sanctioned NGO boats to collect immigrants

How does that work when Spain has 30% youth unemployment amongst the indigenous population?

Agreed

Using your logic then...

Coastguard rescues suspected migrants off Kent coast

Does that mean UK is in the same boat as Spain - pun intended. (Good one he? :cheesy:)

I reckon those coastguard boats are paid for HM Gov, funded by tax payers money!

What would be the correct course of action in your opinion. Rescue the two Essex lads aka trafickers, save the boat and let Albanians swim for their lives?

Does that mean UK Gov is colluding with Albanians trafficking illegals?

:sleep::sleep::sleep:

Only you could apply my logic to a rescue at sea off the Kent Coast

Related problem, different locations, one does not conflate with the other, so there's little point trying to make it so.

The correct course of action would be to save their lives in the first instance, determine their status and then process them from there. If a crime has been committed then prosecutions should follow.

Does it really look like an organised collusion between Albanian people traffickers and HMG to you? No. Then how does that compare with the publicly stated aims and actions of Spain/EU?
