This is gonna roll for a few decades more at least. Is history not just a continuum without beginning or end?

Prayer of the Day

Today's prayer was submitted by a Mrs. Trellis of North Wales . . .

Dear Lord,
I know I do not talk with you as often as I should, but I note that this year you have taken my favourite comedian Ken Dodd, my favourite scientist Stephen Hawking and my favourite darts player Eric Bristow. I thought you would like to know that my favourite E.U. politician is Jean-Claude Juncker.
Amen.

It's been said that you can displease some of the people all of the time or you can displease all of the people some of the time but you can't do it to all of the people all of the time: well, it appears that Theresa May can!

Ah, it’s a clever plot. With the deep divisions tearing our country apart she’s managed to unite everyone in displeasure. Saint Theresa has touched us with a healing hand.

I have an idea that Trump may have done that for her.:D Boris must be thinking, "With friends like him who needs enemies".

Brexiteers concept of democracy is really very simple indeed.

One dubious, shoddy, ill thought out, misplaced referendum for all the wrong reasons with abysmal debate and everyone thinks we've had the vote and we can't change our minds EVER again.

The most complex of negotiations and intricate integrations established over 60 year period working in harmony and Brexiteers believe it's all going to be so so very simple and they Brexiteers consider it an achievable concept allowing UK to sail off into the yonder in search of great and fantastic most beautiful of bilateral trade deals to match Trumps GREAT wall in grandeur and international prestige putting UK right up their with the US of A.

Interesting to see Trump's blurted out lots of stuff which four other nations disputed publicly stating - no that's not what was said or agreed. In fact nothing has changed since last NATO agreed spending decisions 4 years ago led by Obama.

Trump is in a twighlight world of his own much like our Brexiteers and that's probably why they relate to each other so much. ;)

That's why we have the established order running around like headless chickens  or is that not happening either (y)

Two headless chickens you say?

So what is JRM, Leadsom, Gove and Liam Fox up to you reckon? Do you believe them?

Do you think they've changed their minds having seen some sense or evidence in white paper delivered like two years after signing article 50?

Only fools jump in, you can only challenge the leadership once in a year, Keep one's powder dry until march when were about to leave without a deal then TM will fall like a autumn leaf...

Yes, it's a shame that no-one was allowed to openly discuss the EU, for a couple of years prior to the referendum, for fear of political correctness, being smeared as racist, nazi, or just sworn at by maniacical socialist types, no-platformed, no reasonable debate allowed, shut down at every opportunity, threats of violence or actual violence ensuing. It's a shame we have a mainstream media that is so biased that it supports all of the above and therefore didn't afford those with legitimate concerns to voice those concerns on an equal footing. And it's a shame we have a government that has no concept of the thoughts and ideas of millions of ordinary Brits and therefore ignores their democratic wishes at every turn.

It's a shame Project fear was so over-the-top to be unbelievable, which made the out campaign more believable, despite the BS.

Brexiteers see through the crap, despite it ongoing, never changing, Brexiteers have had to work around a massive propaganda machine and still come out on top and got an out vote. All the odds were stacked against them and yet they still won, how is that even possible?

Do you think it is remotely because there is such a lack of trust in our Great British institutions and the media or for some other reason? Do you think it's maybe just because ordinary people with their heads screwed on see what is happening and think that something doesn't add up here? Do you think people in Britain have a long history of independence and to change that would take more than a bunch of lying, cheating politicians and their propaganda machines to change that?

Does it even cross one's remainer mind that we were happy with economic integration, but leave out the politics thankyou very much?

As soon as you attempt to shut down debate, you've lost, on the other hand, have a discussion and it might change minds. But as the loony left has already seen, once you have lost the argument, then all you've got is ranting, raving and looning about, whilst Brexiteers just get on with the job at hand.

Couldn't have put it better myself(y)

Goes back to the argument I had with DBP about minority groups and their relentless pushing of the latest pet projects. Ordinary folk, quite rightly, start to question what their government is actually there for. Certainly, it is not there to govern in the interests of the majority.

Well put, but a complete and utter load of bollox.

Well put, but a complete and utter load of bollox.

Alternative reality.
Parallel universe.
Obeys an alternative set of physical and social laws.
Cosmological models that exist in a world of strict untested assumptions.
No potential or possibility for transfer of information between universes.
Each universe often has same characters living in different circumstances.
This complies with physical laws of quantum mechanics.

In there somewhere you can find Brexit.

:)
