What kind of car do you guys drive?

The clue is in the name. Although it's a highly regressive tax - keeps the plebs off the road so that I can waft through in my Neunelfer.

I think we should bring the congestion charge tax to the US they're actually thinking about partially privatizing part of the freeway system

Wwhere I live we have a lot already but I was thinking do you want to use the carpool lane or diamond lane or whatever you call them in Europe and make them pay for service instead of having a occupancy requirement.

From an economic perspective either or is fine. I see it sweating ones assets and making better productive use of resources.

If one is able to pay that's good to prioritise building of roads and maintenance where there is demand. Better than planners determining for us.

If some wishes to share car pools https://www.blablacar.co.uk/ and thus reducing congestion and pollution equally fine.

carpooling is fine and all but in order to reduce traffic people actually have to do it and as Americans and especially West Coast Americans we all have car envy. I mean seriously Ferrari named a car after our state. they sell more of those models to us than they do to the rest of Europe. Solely used as a point of fact to show how much West Coast Americans love cars. They won't have to build new roads just make it so that you can pay to use them as well.

Time is $$$ (£££)

in fact there's already a bill being worked up in order to pass it.

I don't have or drive this car, but love the advert.

Looks like a BMW clone to me?

It's a Bentley Arnage. The last thing I'd want is that soapy bint clambering all over mine with her high heels and bondage gear on. And the mess she'd make with that burger...

I have been a car nut / petrol head since the age of 10 - after my dad taught me to drive on some private land. I passed my test 2 months after my 17th birthday ( my cousin beat me and passed his test on his actual 17th birthday ) and have put a list together of all the cars I have owned in the last 45 years of driving.

These are in order from the age of 17,

1, Triumph Vitesse 2000

2. MG 1300

3. Jaguar XK 140 - I sold it with a nice profit and bought a brand new Ford Capri for my 21 st Birthday

4. Ford Capri 2 0 L

5 Opel Manta 2 0 L sportsback

6 Peugeot 309 GTI

7 Ford Escort XR3 and then a XR3i

8 MG Maestro 2 0 L GTI - (Mistake)

9. Audi 100 ( now 30 ish ) wife Golf GTI convertable

10 Audi 200 Turbo

11.BMW 525

12 BMW M3 ( wheels stolen in the Birmingham NEC car park and every month some one tried to steal it)

13 BMW M5 ( a beaut but another car stolen even fitted with a tracker and 2 alarms )

14 Porsche 911 Carrera 2

15 Porsche 911 Carrera 4

16 TVR Cerbera 4 5 L - ( 450 bhp and a beast - 0 -100 in 8 2 secs and 195 mph Top speed

17 Ferrari 355 soft top ( short term hire )

18 BMW 840i ( my wife had a 633 coupe for a year as well )

19 Mercedes AMG coupe

20 Old Mercedes 300 coupe

21 Mercedes 280 4x4 and BMW X3 (wife's car )

22 Alfa 166 3 0 L ( mistake but always wanted a Alfa Romeo )

Nowadays various BMW's and Merc (Diesels) but did a short term hire on a Lamborghini Gallardo soft top 4 years ago and Aston Martin DB7 then released I needed to grow up and spend money on more sensible things for my kids

I have also enjoyed and participated in saloon car races and Jonathan Palmer and TVR hospitality track days with various cars including a Formula 2000 and Formula 3000 and raced at Silverstone Donington Park and Brands Hatch.

On my bucket list is wanting to drive a FI car at Magny Cours in France - need to do it before I am 65 yrs old and its currently £3k.

A Petrol head now on diesels and without giving myself the kiss of death - not one speeding ticket in 44 yrs - and only one accident - when a woman ran into the back of my Opel Manta sportback and wrote it off .

Dreams car drives next - McLarenP1 and a Ferrari LaFerrari - there is a guy who lives less than 30 miles from me in Leicester who is lucky enough to own both - lucky so and so ;-)))

FxMo, have you tried Ferrari's Corse Clienti? They have regular outings in their F1 cars, on many F1 race tracks. Here they are at Spa.

It's my goal to bomb an F2004 down the Monza straight! No idea about the price though, right now I can barely afford a bicycle. Would still go faster than these McLarens though

Seriously, everyone knows it isn't about the car but who is in the car.
