FTSE 100 Intraday - November

no failed again - spending too much time on trying but will
keep at it after close.

Mully - funnily enough I was trying to post AVZ so I'll just have to
talk it through. My swing chart showed a change to down trend
on 25/9 on a break through previous swing low. There was a
swing high bar on 15/10 and the next day close signalled a short
at around 508 (didn't take it - curses - since ftse trend still up). A
continuation swing high bar on 30/10 and next day close signalled
another short at around 466 (didn't take that either - a real
good trader I am!!!). It may have been anticipating the bad
news of the last few days or it may be saying something about
ftse - maybe both! Time will tell.

Phew, it would have been much easier for everyone if I could
get this chart posting cracked.

Bonsai,

Yer dead right, still life in the ol' dog yet!!!

Been out over the last hour, but my 5 min chart gave a buy signal @295.

Hooya,

Looks like a,

Symetrical triangle, an area of indecision, bullish in an uptrend, & bearish in a downtrend.

Lockstock

Begs the question: Are we in an uptrend or a downtrend?

Of course depends which timeframe you are operating in.

mully
I would have to say we are now in a trading uptrend.
we had the 5 leg finish down to the low this morning.

not only does it look strong but its blown away 300 and then the trendline across the tops.

my macd has gone straight up and rsi is rising.

should be good back up to about 320 I would have thought.
where it will meet lockstocks old channel line

Use PrintKey2000 it is backwards compatable and it is free.

If you have saved chart to your hard disk then it must be able to be found by the browser. My first attempt was frustrating as I couldn't find where the chart had been saved too, so i saved to "My Documents" file where both I and the T2w browser could locate it.

Bonsai,
Until this bull run is confirmed ended (lower lows etc) I always think it worth a flutter to buy 50% retracements (taking a leaf from Stanley Kroll of "The Professional Commodity Trader".) Hence my e-mail re the Fib earlier this morning.

lockstock.
Don't know, don't care.
As Bobsai so clearly said in another thread " only exist in the present. Not the future or the past."

Trade what you see not what you expect to see....

Interest Rate Decision

12.00 is getting close. Market appears to be acting as if any news is already discounted/ better than some fear.

Mully,

Whether your in a trade or waiting to either enter or exit a trade, surely you have an entry and exit point, or do you just play it by ear?

I try to be aware of all the potential support/resistance, trendlines, but I watch how the market reacts to them. I want the market to signal its intention. as I said in reply to Bonsai this morning, I like buying 50% retracements in bull runs.

Posting charts.

Trying again

It's a paint icon.
I dont want to interfere with your trading any more, so do you want to do this after trading ends to day.
