Hi all,
I've got two questions that I wondered whether anyone could help me with:-

1) Has anyone got the book "Beyond Candlesticks : New Japanese Charting Techniques Revealed" by Steve Nison? If so could you tell me whether there is a section on Heiki Ashi Technique as I intend to write my own study based around it.

2) I am looking to get a good trading platform like Metastock or Tradestation or I have even looked at Amibroker.com which looks pretty good ($159-00) and is a lot cheaper than the other two. Any idea how much Metastock or Tradestation.

Cheers

PS I did take a look the the software/book reviews before posting this and couldn't find the answers I was looking for

I am interested to see that you wish to use this technique which I am currently looking at.

It is (I believe) included in the Nison book you refer to but I haven’t seen it.

I don’t know where you discovered the technique but it was described in some detail in Feb 2004’s TASC magazine and if you don’t have it the article is available from TASC at this link for a nominal sum ($3.95) in pdf form

http://store.traders.com/ch2f201.html

Further information is available on Google from various sources but one I found useful is from Chartpoint Issue 12 Nov/Dec 2003 “Ichimoku with modified Candle” This article includes a sample excel worksheet for the modified candle calcyulations. There are also detailed formulae available on both the Metastock boards and the Tradestation boards (not on this site).

If you check out the TASC article and the Traders Tips section in that issue you will find that the following software can deal more than adequately with the technique and you can explore most of these packages from links on our Software Guide:

Tradestation

NB Tradestation and Metastock are both available from the store on this site

You should be able to find some useful stuff on Dan Valcu’s website – he’s the guy who’s been writing “all” the articles; here: http://www.educofin.com If you click on “TA Articles” section on the menu on the left, you’ll find some PDFs.

You can get HA in esignal.. if you look in the esignal bb, theres a section on efs's (I don't know what it stands for..), but if someone has an idea for an indicator or something, esignal or another user will write the code and provide a free link. I downloaded HA last week. Go to the bb and do a search, thats probably the best way. Often they will show the code, if you want to experiment with it

There's an article in this months Trader' magazine on these by Mr Valcu. You can get a free copy from their website and I think Sharky did a special deal with them here too. I signed up for it from T2W and have been getting copies ever since my first freebie

Heikin Ashi has just been made available FREE on Dealbook to those who have an account with them or who are taking a trial. The Heikin Ashi candles are superb and work in conjunction with DiNapoli Macd, DiNapoli Predictor and the DiNaploi 3 x 3 indicator which is also predictive. It is so easy to trade that it must be close to the Holy Grale. Very, very lucrative.

Sincerely

Phil

Hello

I haven`t seen Cigar in a forum for a while . Maybe other traders would be able to tell more. I would like to discuss the EW technique . Actually my question is If esignal software put elliot wave count itself or you mark all the waves (http://www.trade2win.com/boards/attachment.php?attachmentid=7395) ?

Also is it possible to have a different time frames in esignal software (like 2 min,3H etc.)?

Thank you for any help.
