Our ISP uses a common proxy

Are you sure about that as he appears to be using the same computer you are using to log into T2W

@ Trader333:
Our ISP in Singapore (Singnet) uses a common proxy for all outgoing international connections, to filter content, including certain pornographic and other sites. This is well know in Singapore as anyone who tries to access certain forbidden sites will get a message from MDA (Media Development Authority, Singapore) which is in charge of regulating the content (including that from the internet), through the ISP's proxy.

We thus have problem accessing certain sites, which allow only 1 download per hour etc, as it appears to the international site as if a single person from Singapore is accessing the site, and thus blocks access even though multiple people access from different computers, as the IP address visible to the international server is a single one.

Of course, if the person in Singapore uses another provider (like M1, Starhub etc etc ) for their internet, then the IP addresses maybe different.
By and large, Singnet is a major provider (ISP) for our fiber broadband, and hence am not surprised if it appears to your server that the computer is a single one.

Thank you for the clarification in any case, Trader333 as I believe you are doing your job as a good admin.

You can confirm this very easy by contacting Singnet or by googling.
As I am an engineer, I know these points clearly.

Look before you rejoice

Techlord,

This was not the same IP address that you are sharing. It is "Fact" that it is the same computer and there is no doubt at all about this.

I have already said all that I had to say.

If you keep insisting so, then I have nothing to say.The session hash etc in your cookie on my browser are not guaranteed to be unique in any way as I am using a portable version of the browser which can be used by any number of people.

Also, I am using a VM Ware machine (Virtual Machine) which is a part of my work laptop, and hence this is also not unique in any way to any person.

I really don't understand why you all don't focus on the main topic at hand instead of trying to sideline things by asking unrelated questions.

Do YOU know Sandy personally ? And are YOU trying to defend him ? I also should be asking you this !

Would also like to add, that after the recent hacking attacks on Singapore servers, a lot of security filters had apparently been put into place.
It could thus give conflicting information to international computers trying to trace identities of computers within Singapore.

Again, as I said earlier, we had provided facts regarding Sandy along with screenshots of his text messages as evidence.

Maybe we should just focus on the content of the thread and either prove or disprove it, if at all some points seem to be incorrect !

If so, then stay away from my thread :eek:fftopic::mad::mad::mad:

Quantserve (quantserve.com) and Kissmetrics (kissmetrics.com) is used on Trade2win to find out about the users' details, I know, but in many cases, when security features are in place, the results can be misleading.

I will not respond further on this off-topic thing about duplicate locations anymore as this is not the topic discussed here. Thank you !

so i cant mention the duplicate locations ever again ?

Some of them (educators) offer refunds to unhappy customers. Maybe you should ask for a refund - it won't cover losses suffered by following his system, but at least you may get some money back. Hopefully he remembers how much he charged you (in case he didn't issue any receipts)

Thanks for the suggestion but we had already tried it right at the time when we had started making losses, around a month after the workshop but Sandy did not agree to refund the fees.

We had made the losses in 3-4 chunks of around $1500 to $2000 everytime, making it approximately $8-9 k or so, before we'd decided to call it a day, but he said that he had already told us before the workshop itself, that no refunds would be issued.
