Turbo Morning Trade EA

Thanks Mark for the updated version of Turbo. I believe that will correct the live trading results that I got last week. I was concerned that the live trading was opening 2 trades at the same time, because it wasn't matching the demo results.

Hi,
Find attached my test results. Profit factor was 5.1 .... check the settings in the html file.

Thanks for that musallam, my profit factor only shows 3.23, dunno why.

These are my results for the standard version and I got a higher net profit. I must be doing something wrong.

I purchased Mark’s TMT after having great results with FMT, unfortunately my broker FXCM does NOT support partial exits with MT4 bridged by Boston Technologies.

I spoke to Shanker Das who is a MT4/FXCM specialist and he is most professional and courteous at all times. He mentioned that he would be inquiring at Boston Technologies about offering partial positions.

If other FXCM users would be interested to voice a preference with Shanker about partial positions with MT4 please contact Shanker at this address:

On standard FMT today some had Long Trades some had No Trades. Did anyone have a long trade on Turbo today?

Ended up +45 today, but some weird things happened with the EA's (I'm running both FMT and TMT on two different charts on the same Alpari-US acct.). First FMT placed an order, then modified it with the proper SL and TP set. Then TMT placed an order and modified it, properly set the SL, but set TP at "0". The two orders were a few pips apart when they opened, so the SL's were slightly different, but when the TMT modified it's settings to it's proper SL, it changed the FMT SL to match TMT...and it set the FMT TP to that same "0". They both closed at the proper TP, but the settings worry me. I run the EA while I'm asleep, and check it in the morn. Any ideas?

Also, when it was time for TMT to close half it's position, the EA tried to close the TMT half on the FMT position, and went on to close the entire TMT position at the first TP. The server was busy at the time, so the closing of 1/2 of the TMT position on the FMT failed. I guess "all's well, that ends well", but it's got me worried.

Perhaps you should use different Magic Numbers.

New feature wanted. The ability to enter pending trades, with all the other Turbo features, instead of only market orders. I would like to be able set the entries at X pips +or- the ideal price.

I've already nagged Mark about this. I hope anyone else who can see the advantage of buying pullbacks will join me in requesting this much needed feature from Mark.

Hi I totally agree. Have you only be thinking about buy and sell stop orders or also buy and sell limit orders?

I was only thinking about buy and sell limit orders, which I use on days with weak signals or high volatility days. Not sure how stop orders would help, because I like to enter on pullbacks. With a stop entry, I would be entering orders at a higher, not lower cost.

The value of pullbacks to me is that it changes my risk reward from 40SL to 35 TP to 30-40 SL-45 to 35-45 TP, depending on my fear-greed ratio. Unfortunately, when I enter pullbacks manually, emotions creep in. A pending order feature would allow us to back test and develop a mechanical method.

A stop entry feature might have helped us catch cable's reversal yesterday afternoon.

So please ask Mark to give us a way to enter pending orders, with the same BE and SL properties as the market order feature.

I agree with HOH. It sounds like you have the same Magic Number for both the FMT ea and the TMT ea. Change then t be different and you'llbe o.k.

I was always wondering why so few retail traders are successful.

Here is the answer:

Look at the backtest with optimized settings, using version 1.2 and complete history data.

Why would anybody go and fix or add anything? This is as great as it can get!

Just let it trade and keep the clumsy fingers away.

Had a trade open this morning 30 minutes earlier, but broke even.

Backtesting showed 93.75% profit from Oct. 31 - today using my settings, $306 - $1/lot, with a time range of 06:00 - 06:30, 30 minutes earlier than default. 40SL, 20BE/0,0,0, 35 TP, 50%, Exit 1, ATR True.

Changing the settings of Break Even add Pips2 from "0" to "2" or Break even level 2 from "0" to "35" didn't make any difference.

Did you optimize these settings.

Great results. Was that with trailing period 20, and trailing CoEf of 1.0?
