Turbo Morning Trade EA

Hello all,

I just purchased TMT. :D I'm going to backtest various settings this weekend and start trading with TMT next week.

Magicpip,

Is your time setting, 6:00 - 8:30, based on GMT or your broker time? I would appreciate your input. :)

I think, that the first important task is to find settings for TMT at the standard FMT time, which outperform the current results of FMT.

Depending on the quality of the backtest data and the spread of the chosen broker there are several good settings for TMT in order to outperform FMT.
Keep in mind, that the data downloaded from Metaquotes have gaps and are incomplete, therefore you can not achieve a 90% modeling quality.(see Marc`s backtests).
If you trade live with a non ECN, fixed spread broker without instant execution, different settings will be necessary.

Afterwards one could try to achieve even better results by extending the trade times.

So far exit strategy 3 with 24-26 trailing and a 40+45 TP1+2 with BE at 20, SL 43 are showing good results.

30% at TP1, rest on 45 with trail gives >85% winners and a PF of 2.07 from 2007- 2010

see today!

I have attached 2 optional sets with backtest on Alpari UK data.

you have to enter your new password (receipt number) don't just click on the one that is there already

Ok... so I entered the receipt number as stated in the email and it still takes me to the FMT page and not the Turbo page. And I even tried clearing my cache before hand... Still no go...

I thought I had earned my first trade on Thursday with 2 charts, but I made a mistake. I had 2 charts open, but only 1 chart traded, the other was set to 1 hour by mistake, and Turbo earned 78 pips with the 1 trade.

This morning, Turbo earned 70 pips! Backtesting doesn't show the 2 levels of trades. My Settings:

6:00- 8:30 time
40 SL, 20 BE, 0,0,0, 1st level 35 TP, 60% closing,exit level 1, rest of settings are default.

You should have received an invitation email from Mark. Send him an email.

OK... So, I was able to figure it out... slight delays in my vps browser when I communicate with it and it was not catching all of my keystrokes properly. All is well now...

Mark, I have recently purchased the FMT EA but i did not receive an email for the discounted price for TURBO MORINING TRADER.

What settings are you using?

What settings are you using?
I'm backtesting more settings.
I used time: 6:00 - 6:45, though I'm also testing 6:00 - 6:30. So far there isn't any difference in using these times.

40SL, 20BE, 0,0,0, 35TP, 60% close, exit 1, the rest is default.

Could someone please help me out. When I had just the standard version I ran backtests and they worked great. I just got the turbo version, set up my paremeters and the tests show almost all losers, so I decided to backtest the standard version again and its doing the same thing. Does this have to do with having both EA's on mt4? Should I maybe get rid of the standard one on there?

When you backtest, you're only backtesting 1 EA at a time in the Strategy Tester. You can't possibly be backtesting 2 EA's at the same time that I know of on the same chart because the Tester only allows 1 EA to be tested at one time.

Check your # of Errors on the Report page. You should have 0 errors with 90% modeling quality, or very few errors.

Yup 0 errors, 90%. I know you cant backtest both at the same time but I thought maybe because they are in the same program and have the same magic numbers. I triple checked the settings on both but the backtest results still show all losers on both for some reason.

I'm getting a profit factor of 10.53 for Nov. 2010 with $1.00/lot. Depends what your settings are, and what time you're testing it at. The time I'm using is 06:00 - 06:45.

Weird thing is even the standard version doesn't show the results it did when I backtested. Something is messed up with my mt4 than maybe.

I had a similar problem in that the backtesting didn't show the 2 levels of profit, but when I closed it out and reopened it, it then backtested differently and then showed both profit levels. Try closing and reopening it.

Thanks Magic just tried that but still the results show 42% winners only for the past year with the standard version which was pretty well double as high last time I backtested. I tried downloading the history data again that didn't help either.

Just read that backtesting can be way off during weekends for some reason. Anybody heard of that before?

Backtesting uses the current spread for GBPUSD at whatever time you backtest. On weekends, spreads are often substantially inflated when the brokers close. That's why backtests on weekends do not reflect normal weekday spread. If you want to backtest on weekends in the future, try to login in without a password before your broker closes on Friday. This will disconnect your account and freeze the normal spread for the weekend, or until you login again. Hope this helps. Cheers.
