Maybe, but I think Muslims hold the number one spot in the terrorist charts right now

Is that so. What was the phrase that Rumsfeld used when the bombing of Baghdad started ? "Shock and Awe". In other words we're going to terrorise the crap out of you with the US military machine until you succumb to the foreign occupation of your country.

If you want more up to date how about the repeated violation of soverignty of Pakistan with the drone raids, where the killing of any number of innocents is justified on the grounds that somebody they don't like might be in the firing line. This is clearly in violation of international law and the actions of a rogue state. But nothing new for the US - people are still picking the unexploded munitions out of the ground in several countries in Indo China.

US - a rogue state whose diplomacy is frequently conducted by it's air force.

your calling me a racist  dude go check yourself, what ever you think, its a fact what i have said and the awareness of this is spreading, not by muslims but by christians themselves, your not just a racist along with your other idiots but ignorant ones. its your twisted illogical ignorant mind that bring problems to societys,

now coming back onto the topic to terroism then any guy with senses knows that muslims have been targeted and are innocent victims, dnt be fooled by the media cause its run by idiots like you, many CHIRSTIANS are exposing the drama, go read john perkins 'the confessions of an economic hitman' and many other titles and documentry which expose the so called war on terror. if you had done some research instead of sitting infront of cnn and fox all day you would relise all the muslim terroists you see today were at one point installed by the cia and americans themselves. muslims are innocent and islam is a religon of peace.

so go and fix yourself dude, instead of spreading your propaganda.

suhaib, in your opinion, would you say this young gentleman is an innocent Muslim from the religion of peace ?

without which we would all have been living under the Communist yoke decades ago, and without which now we may soon be living under the Caliphate

You yank-haters are all hot air - what is your alternative ?

The alternative is unthinkable.

I was waiting for it - the old "reds under the bed" fear mongering. In case it escaped your attention, the Vietnamese won the "American War" as they rightly refer to it. Have we seen the yellow hoards marching inexorably south to Australia? Of course not. It always was fear mongering propaganda.

Yes Vietnam invaded Cambodia and removed Pol Pot and should be congratulated for doing so.

The war in Vietnam was a war against Western imperialism - first against the French and then the US. Anybody that doesn't understand that understands nothing about post WWII history. It was a war for national independence.

"Living under the Caliphate" is even more ridiculous. How do you reckon this state of affairs might come to pass in places like Europe, United States and Australia ? It just ain't gonna happen. More fear mongering nonsense.

It's fear, of course, but that person in Iran does not help the situation much. You should remember, too, that without the US your own country would not have lasted as long as it has, the UK was on its knees, itself. It certainly would not have lasted through WWII no matter how much I admire the ANZACs.

But, still, what will happen, will happen and there is not much use worrying about it.

i was thinking more along the lines of countries that could actually have done something significant and who had stated intentions thus to do,
not some small, internationally insignificant country that was fighting an anti-imperialistc action
(no argument from me about that, other than it's got fyck all to with my point)

ever heard of USSR ? China ? ring any bells ?

It's an open question as to whether the US would have entered the war if Japan hadn't so recklessly attacked Perl Harbour. It seems hard to believe that they were so stupid.

When things were looking grim after the fall of Singapore, the Australian govt ordered the Australian Army back from North Africa. They sailed without escort. Churchill in cohorts with Roosevelt attempted to divert them to Burma where they would have arrived without their heavy equipment. It would have been a military disaster. Roosevelt offered around half that number of rookie US troops as a substitue. Curtin, quite rightly, was having none of it. It was definitely not a simple case of the cavalry to the resucue. Australia was expendable.

As for who saved who in WWII, I should think that Western Europeans should be extraordinarily gratefull to the Russians who suffered enormously and probably broke the back of the Nazi war machine.

I agree that the US were attacked by Japan and that brought them into the war. As for Russia, you are right as far as it goes but where we would be today, if the Russian Bear was our only ally? I think that Hitler might have made a pact with Russia and turned his attentions to us. That is all speculation and it is never wise to rewrite history, but Montgomery's drive up the coast cut the Danish peninsula off from the Russians by about six hours. It's all very well for you to sit back in your island and think that you are safe from the Asiatics. I, for one European, am thankful for the Yanks, warts and all.

I thought that Zeitgeist film said that the american's cut off Japans oil supply and provoked them into attacking?

I think the Zeitgeist film is a load of crap, but it's certainly true that securing sources of raw materials was part of Japans imperial strategic thinking. Sounds familiar doesn't it ?

oldest story in the world

So they weren't interested in securing sources of raw materials? Of course that's not the whole story. I image they would have liked to have an empire too - just like the Europeans and especially the British. After all why were the Europeans more worthy of empire than the Japanese?

I was simply agreeing with you.

You make positions for me I have not taken.

Try not to be so defensive.

No doubt "suhaib" is relishing the "infidels" and "kufirs" arguing about the United States.

It just re-inforces the islamo-fascists in their belief that another few bombs on their "evil" civilians and the whole pack of cards of democracy, Hindus, Jews, Christians, atheists, apostates, will come crashing down and the caliphate will come.
No way, you don't understand us. They think peaceful people are a walk over, they ain't seen nothing yet. They make war on us, we will deal with them, however long it might take. They may hurt us, but THEY CAN NEVER WIN.
The US has its faults and does bad things sometimes - like all nation states, but I am so grateful for their existence and many, many (not all) of their actions.

Yes, that is true but they were getting down into New guinea and Burma so they were quite the little empire builders.:D. Let's say that the Yanks were getting a little uncomfortable about it, they being in the Phillipines, themselves.
