Where is the Dow & others heading in 2005?

Yes when I am looking for a quick 10 or 15 pips. Not for bigger moves though.

Oh I see, normally I would have questioned that but I see you thought we were going to see 10900 instantly from your entry. That normally does happen.

Looks like we're stuck firmly between 925 & 935. I wonder if we'll see any movement when the afternoon session starts?

Load of old pants

Well it's certainly a load of old pants at the moment.

Tempted to trade the range but its too tight to be worthwhile!

I'm long the dow emini at 10925. Stop loss 10882. Could have already taken profits at 10945-10948 area but am keeping my profit taking sell order at 10996 for 71 points. If it looks like it won't make it then I will take what I can get. Also have a resting order to short at 11014 if it gets there today. Looks tough as going seems to be slow.

PT

Cashed out of my crude oil trade that I entered yesterday. Got 164 points out of it. Out at 5480. Did have two positions and got smilar gain for that aswell. Not a bad day as I got a nice gain on my sterling positions that I entered yesterday aswell. Will look to buy Sterling tonight on a longer term contract. I reckon we will see knew highs on the Euro following todays action. I've entered a quick short on the sterling and euro for a quick 10-20point gain.

Got a few limit orders on crude oil, short at 5510 region. Dow just turned positive.

A bit like watching paint dry.

I've been watching that triangle for what seems like hours - just grabbed a nice 10 points from that breakout spike though - and a long - no less!

I think that will do me for today.

Yes a pathetic BO so far. Must have overdone the shake n vac.

Another dubious Wolfewave target around 965, though I do have a habit of forcing them when they barely exist. BO zone 935-940 being tested now but will it hold? 51:49 says yes.

I'm begining to think the same thing. Really can't make much sense out of todays session as of yet. A close below 870-50 would definately bring on those shorts.

Seems like no buyers left and I think institutions are accumalating those shorts.

Will we get a test of 11,000?

The NYSE members and NYSE specialists charts are definately showing a rise in shorts Thats the dominant money.

On the other hand the Public short sales chart has fallen to very low levels (dumb money). Meaning now that they have been cashed out the markets the Dow and co will probably turn!

Major topping soon. 11,000 or no 11,000!

Would anybody like to see the NYSE members and NYSE specialists charts or the public short sales charts?

Oils actually above $55 a barrel, we could see a late day slide!

Seems to me to be a bitof uncertainty after TXN lowering top end of guidance, and INTC still to come on Thrus. Interesting thing is that trendline support on SOX DJIA and SPX all have held. Nasdaq has 50 day sma roughly at its lows. Volumeis anaemic particularly on NYSE, which is what you would expect if bullish. Assuming we close here or here abouts and don't gap down in the morning, should all be fuel for higher. Support tested and held. Just my thought.
