I take your point about 25 points, however markets often make a high / low in the first hour or last hour of trading so i always favour some action end of day if we have been quiet.
Where did you short cable? Nice entry from 1H 16420 level.

Hey Chelski, sorry for late answer.

Although I try not to trade cable, we've had quite a relationship today. Stopped out of the short on FMOC news release, stopped out again trying to get an entry (actually, my mistake on setting a stop loss far too close once I thought the stop fishing was finished) but finally got an entry into the move @ 16423.

Exited @ pivot 16323 for +100. My GBPCHF trade turned +30 to the good also, just a shame I exited my GBPJPY (felt too exposed to sterling) which would have really been the better option than swissy.

Good day, wins covered my losses from getting stopped out so ended positive. Geofract raked it in today as well and think he is riding this one down still.

Yield Curves, FX & LIBOR Trends
2009.09.23
By Ashraf Laidi

Medium term trends indicate the US yield curve is ready for a major break out at the expense of the USD, while LIBOR trends offer more downside room for GBP.
Note: This article contains image(s)
While FX trading seems to become increasingly bifurcated (broad USD weakness & broad JPY strength or vice versa), the unfolding trend remains a concerted move away from the QE currencies (USD, GBP) and into the commodity/high yielders as well as the EUR. Emerging talk on whether the US dollar has become the new low-yielding vehicle for carry trades financing equities, commodities and currencies vehicle highlights the difference between the USD and JPY carry trades. The latter was driven by structurally low Japanese rates (sub 1.0% since for past 10 years), which were a reflection of Japans anti-deflation policy, its current account surplus and the resulting proclivity to save.

ws.did u get any sleep.with all those trades on..??

Haha ..............

It doesn't bother me my friend, the days of worrying are long past me

It either hits my stop or my target .....

I had to get up for the Dawn prayer

Dawn is the time that marks the beginning of the twilight before sunrise. It is recognized by the presence of weak sunlight, while the sun itself is still below the horizon. Dawn should not be confused with sunrise, which is the moment when the leading edge of the sun itself appears above the horizon.
The duration of the period between dawn and sunrise varies greatly with the observer's latitude, from a few minutes in equatorial regions to hours in polar regions.
[edit]Types

There are also more technical definitions of dawn, including the following:
Astronomical dawn
the moment after which the sky is no longer completely dark; formally defined as the time at which the sun is 18 degrees below the horizon in the morning. [1]
Nautical dawn
the time at which there is enough sunlight for the horizon and some objects to be distinguishable; formally, when the sun is 12 degrees below the horizon in the morning. [1]
Civil dawn
that time at which there is enough light for objects to be distinguishable, so that outdoor activities can commence; formally, when the sun is 6 degrees below the horizon in the morning. [1]
[edit]Mythology

Many Indo-European mythologies have a goddess of dawn, separate from the male Sun god, her name deriving from PIE *h2ausos-, derivations of which include Greek Eos, Roman Aurora, Indian Ushas and possibly a Germanic *Austrōn- (whence Easter).
[edit]Folklore

In folklore, belief that dawn banishes evil spirits, zombies, ghosts, vampires, trolls, fairies and demons is common, for various reasons, throughout Eastern and Western cultures.[citation needed]

Nikkei ............nice break out on the weekly trend line

Good morning to all ...........as we slowly awake from our slumber

quick guide to today

Shanghai - weak but that was expected

Japan - strong - unexpected ....but that is good news as it strengthens the argument for FTSE bouncing off 5100 -5120 like I mentioned last night

Dollar strength is temporary .....once the auction goes through in the afternoon..........EUR and cable up we go!!

oil up we go

markets up we go

key level 5113 ..........

break below 5113.............unknown territory ........then we go down to gap fill 5070

BUT, I don't believe that will happen due to the strong move in the Nikkei and support on SP500 @ 1058

OIL also has massive support @ 67.75 .....region

Also currency have some strong support here
