FLASHBACK: Sessions Called For A Special Counsel After Loretta Lynch Met With Bill Clinton

If every undocumented immigrant was deported in America, the country would lose $11.74 billion in revenue

In 42 states, the undocumented pay more as a share of family income than the wealthiest 1 percent in their respective states.

Trump doesn't give a f*ck if the 1% loses a small bit of revenue, as a blue-collar billionaire he is concerned with what is good for the common people, you are not with your elitist wordplay trying to distort what these illegals are doing to blue collar jobs in America. What about the majority of Americans whose wages and benefits have gone down the toilet due to the illegal influx?

Then the AG is just the President's man. Hardly independent is he ?
In a proper democratic system the Law is independent of the politicians for very good and obvious reasons.

He is responsible for upholding the law, yes. Technically. But the President has his own agenda, such as voting rights during the Obama administration. And that agenda provides guidance to the AG.

OTOH, it helps to remember that we have a federal republic, which means 50 state AGs. So the law generally gets taken care of, one way or the other. Keep in mind that it was state attorneys general who got Trump's Muslim ban put on hold.

Keep in mind that Obama's "outgoing Attorney General Loretta Lynch secretly signed an order directing the National Security Agency -- America’s 60,000-person-strong domestic spying apparatus -- to make available raw spying data to all other federal intelligence agencies, which then can pass it on to their counterparts in foreign countries and in the 50 states upon request. She did so, she claimed, for administrative convenience. Yet in doing this, she violated basic constitutional principles that were erected centuries ago to prevent just what she did."
