A while ago, someone kindly gave me a tip on how to use the "print screen" key to paste a screen image into a word document or similar. (I think it may have been JonnyT).

I have another question which probably has a very basic answer. How do I use the "print screen" key to actually print a screen image. (The obvious turn the printer on, press the key and wait doesn't seem to work).

Sorry to ask what is probably a very basic question but any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Hi darrenf
Print screen - goes to clipboard - open Word and paste - then print hard copy.

Also,
as per Mr Charts, but if you paste into the Paint accessory (on the Start menu) you'll be able to edit, crop, and generally play with it if you want before saving it to a BMP, JGP etc for use in other docs.

Thanks for your replies. You learn something new every day!

Have downloaded the softwarelabs program which is very good. Allows you to capture the image, save as jpeg, bitmap etc, and/or print the image full size A4.

And it's free (although you lose some facilities after 30 days unless you pay for the best version).

nice little download for free!

Cheers
