Anybody use a good screen shot software app?

My dual screens make it a nightmare with the old print screen, then paste trick.

I want something I can use that's just a quick draw of where i want to capture... and its creates a jpg,png etc on my desktop. Like on a mac.

Any links etc would be great.

Happy Trading!

Cheers

It's not free but there are free trials of it (search for Snagit). Here is one link

Download Snagit Trial

It's a nice piece of software that can capture whole screens, windows, any part of screens and also the whole contents of scrolling screens.

It costs $50 for a single user licence

Take a look at JING. Totally free. Written by the company who made Snagit (I believe)

You can screen capture and then draw / write on the capture before saving etc.

It is the same company. If Jing had been available when I bought SnagIt I would have used Jing instead !!!

Good link

It's screwed up my PC !
It froze the screens seconds after installing it.
(Had to install .Net 3.0 first).
Went into Safe Mode to Remove both.
Add/Remove Software said it couldn't access the Installer.
Ran System Restore to go back to yesterday.
Booted back into normal Windows and after the Windows 'load-up' screen everything went black and stayed that way.
Tried Last Known Good config - no use. Black screens.
The only thing I can get into is Safe Mode.

I think it has corrupted the Registry.

(I'm on another PC now typing this).

Managed to get PC working again using a WIndows start-up disk after doing a System Restore (XP).
According to the JING people, the problem was with the drivers for my old Matrox Millenium G550 graphic card.
The solution is either to update the drivers or replace the card with something more modern.
New drivers here -
Matrox Graphics - Support - Driver Download
Haven't tried them yet.
