zambuck
dont have XP

looks like I have to come clean ?
I have W95 !

anyone with W98 ? how do you do it ?

thanks Paul

but if I dont get any luck, I'll just change the File Type to
Wordpad instead. That has a font option.

(but notepad must pick up a default font from somewhere ?)

Bonsai,

I have just looked at Notepad on an old Windows 98 PC that I have and you can change the font. So I copied it and put it on my Win XP machine and it works just as well but I did notice that there were a lot more font options available.

So there are two possibilities, if you go to Control Panel and select the Fonts Icon you may be able to install more fonts which may become available to use by your version of Notepad.

Or if you PM me an email address I will send you a copy of my Notepad version which is only 52Kb in size and you can try that one which should work on your pc just as well as it does on mine.
