Here's another,

Recently clean installed XPHome to get rid of IE errors and now I'm getting errors in javaw.exe which shut down IB. Any ideas please?
I'm running J2re1.4.1.0_3 off their website.

Oatman,

Go to Control Panel and click on "Java Plugin" now select "Browser" and untick all options in that screen.

Try re-booting your whole system and try again.

There must be something else that is not quite right. I know that certain versions of the Java App have caused a problem. Try visiting this link and download a later version but still uncheck the IE options as before:

or for the latest version

http://java.sun.com/j2se/downloads.html

Personally I wouldnt. I also had a problem with the Java that was from IB which is why I downloaded it from the Java site and then it worked OK and I hope yours does too as I know how annoying it can be when things like this happen.

I downloaded mine off the Sun site as well. I might go back one if it persists. It's only done it once since I unchecked IE.
