What are we trading on iginwex, real time data or delayed? I can't get my head around delays. If they feed us delayed data then what chance do we have?
Real time. How can you trade delayed? What are we trading on iginwex, real time data or delayed? I can't get my head around delays. If they feed us delayed data then what chance do we have?
I'd love a broker that's delayed by 5 minutes. You'd be rich beyond your wildest dreams.
Why do beginners ( I assume you are a beginner) make things over complicated? An index is, as you know, taken from the prices of its underlying constituents. In the case of the FTSE100 (did you mention that?) it is "made up" from the share prices of its constituent stocks. The prices of these stocks are continually moving by the second. The index, I think uses the middle price of the best bid and cheapest offer. So all the prices are continually moving around (in real time) and the index is calculated (in real time) from these moving prices. So there is only 'one' index, or at least only one FTSE100 index etc. Now if you take a snapshot of this index and publish it statically 15 minutes later, every 15 minutes you get 15min delay (like Yahoo and all free sources). This can be further complicated by taking the real time index and streaming it with a 15 min. delay. This is called real-time delayed! So if I am comparing two indexes on Yahoo then they are both delayed?

Everything by 15. Does that include the timings on charts that are historical and not live, for instance a comparison between the ftse and the dow for last Wednesday say?
