Hi Guys I created a poll regarding the different strategies, click on the links below to Vote, you are only allowed 1 vote - Just interesting to see how many people are trading the old and the new - This poll will last until the end of May, I will post it daily.

Please note the Hammy/Mark question below is for 45 stoploss not 40 (unable to edit the pole)

Cheers

Morning All

Did anyone trading with SLM experience delays in entry this morning? I Had about a 1 min delay on 06:15 start time and on the 06:30 (trading the 10/40) start time.

Hi Jashfx,

My trades at both times were:
The first @ 6:15:57 and the second @ 6:30:58. I am short at 1.6629 and 1.6626 respectively. There was a bit of a delay it seems

Very strange. On two separate accounts, I had an error:128 time out message and then
opened SL/PT set. All Ok about a minute later. Cant for the life of me figure it out.

EA is not on different charts on same account ---its on 2 separate charts on separate accounts so magic number does not need to change.

Alpari UK took me straight in. (so no problem with connection). Anyway any thoughts and ideas as to why this could have happened appreciated.

Thanks!!!

OH OK -- so not just me then.

Thankfully market did not move too much from opening of candle on both occasions.

06:15
New/Hammy settings +35 (Alpari UK)

30/40/25 BE/ 5add +30 (New FMT start time, Hammy 5add pips, (but 5 pips less risk and 5pips less TP) (SLM).
Im of the opinion that because FMT is correct more often than not, the probability of market turning between TP=30 and TP=35 is greater than the probability of Market keeping us in trade between SL=40 and SL=45. So will be forward testing this side by side with New FMT (Hammy) settings and compare results.

06:30
10/40 = +10 (SLM)

All I can say is - WELCOME BACK LONDON TRADERS !!!!!!!!!!! - + 31 Oanda manual close as I missed the first T/P - sure it will get there eventually:clap::clap::clap::drunk::cheers:

Nice one! - I held my nerve and got the 35TP - oh and a couple 10TP's on the way down!!

Hopefully normal performance has been restored!

As you know I monitor the gains and losses of various settings, for example with reference to the last 100 observed trades which at the moment relate to sessions since the start of November, covering exactly 6 months and allowing for the 20 to 25% of the time we don't get signals.

Christmas, New Year and Easter have been bad patches, so for anyone who stayed away the bad days they might have done better than the following numbers

10/40 +550
40/40 +480
28/40 +420
43/65/BE@20 +399
35/40/BE@20 +275

results from the last 200 trades, going back to mid April 2010
10/40 +1320
40/40 +2000
28/40 +1860
43/65/BE +1685
35/40/BE +1715

If only I could have rode that 8.30 candle down! - it took me out at 91 but carried on down to 65! and still going down - I'd be a millionaire by now if I'd have only bagged all those 'if only's'
