no idea what's happening it fell 100 pips in less than 1 minute!! I want to know why!!

Good luck everyone with the BoE decision at 12 GMT ..

I have entry orders $200,000 long GBP/USD at 1.5328 and $200,000 short at 1.486 .. way out of range of bull traps and bear traps .. I'll try to grab 300 pips out of it whichever direction it goes ..

I have an entry order short EUR/USD $40,000 at 1.3840

I have an entry order long USD/CAD $30,000 1.1635

I have an entry order long USD/CHF $50,000 1.085

I have an entry order long AUD/USD $20,000 .6805

stops at -40 pips on each

I'm short Euro/GBP this morning, currently +20.

When is this bank rate announcement due and what is likely to happen to GBP on reduction?

I'm a fairly new Forex trader having come over from stock indices.

The MPC is at 1200 GMt so thats 1pm to us Split.


Not really got much of a clue of Fx but the consensus is 0.5% cut so if it's that then probably a little drift, more then a big sell off, less should see a rally...

but i'm not sure if the ECB is today as well, if so thats 45 mins later and will have the same sort of effect but in reverse.

I'm a bit catious so my instinct would be to take at least half profits before the news and then move stop to above BE.

Ps i could be wrong

I went up to 45 points and, suddenly, it's 21 again so have closed out for a bit.

Pippy, do you think USD/CAD will come tot he 1.16s again..

Currently we see usd cad at 1.2036

Guess i wait right calling for "not much downside" left at usd/cad around 1.18
