Darren Winters

Imagine if it was so easy to get to a life of riches, the majority of people would be rich. And also imagine that if it was so easy for Darren Winters and others practicing similar methods to make so much money, why do they devote so much of their time and money to intense selling of their courses?

For those who wish to disregard the wise saying that "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is" and who subsequently feel that what they get is not what they have been promised, then they should remember that the laws against unfair practices have been considerably strengthened in the last few weeks. So consumers have more rights. They should use them!

Seems that pop-lovers are the latest target! Just heard this in an ad on Heart FM (which is not renowned for specialising in investment advice) Darren Winters WIN Investing Free Stock Market Training

- Apparently you only need to work for 1 hour a week to become rich via the markets. I wonder if their listeners realise that you might just be able to do that after a lifetime's experience possibly, if you are very clever?

It seems that property & buy to let investment is now out of vogue - come to think of it, didn't property come into popular investing favour when the markets lost their shine for the average punter?

There's a lesson there for all starters.

Hello 88. From what I know about his seminars they are held in some room in a building around tower bridge and are massively over subscribed in student:teacher ratio, about 300:1. You will have a hard job actually learning anything n that sort of environment perhaps a few tech analysis tools and patterns. I was invited to attend one of his aftercare meetings and was quite shocked to discover the lack of knowledge of some who had gone through the training, maybe that was a commitment issue I don't know. From the training DVD sets theses are a big NO to trading practices. I wish I could advise you but you have your own path to choose. What really put me off is that he is such a slimy looking **** with a forced smile on his face. @ 2000 an attendee he must be grossing a mil every time he runs one of these "events".

i hate this guy so much, he claims to have learnt from one of america's tip traders Lewis Borsellino, which was a balant lie as i emailed the guy and he sent one back saying he never heard of this nut! this guy claims to have read 200 books so that makes him a millionaire trader? more like he made his money from all the people that fell for his spin.

What do you expect he's a marketer and they'll often do anything/say anything to make a sale.

People who buy these courses aren't buying a trading course - they're buying a dream......

This guy advertises in Trader Magazine. From the sheer number of the seminars does this not ring a few alarm bells? I still think he looks like a slimy cun t. Sorry if the truthe offends.

There'll be loads :) But from the article, he promised to refund the poor chap. If he behaves consistently, he'll soon broke (again).

I was curious and attended his freebie. Immediately spotted a liar and never signed up to anything. But I saw some pensioners, Asians and young people who looked jobless to me. You would cling to any straw if you think you're about to drown/die, wouldn't you? Basically, he was selling people HOPE. And it was selling like hot cakes.

H

You saw Asians?? I dont understand the purpose behind highlighting that ? How many white people where there ? How many with 3 eyes? - Your not a racist? ;)

You had to search 3 year old posts to find something to be offended about?

I believe there was a thread about him but it was deleted as it was very critical of him. Don't get involved with any of these schemes, they are just out to rip you off.

Thank you for heads up - I totally agree!!

I went to one of Darren's weekend courses, £97 for two people for two days. It's essentially a feeder program to his apprentice program.

If you cut through all the BS, ignore the selling and realise the guy doesn't know what he is talking about there is some information there for the complete novice.

His presentation style is good and you will be sold the dream. As long as you decide not to spend anymore money on him it will be of value.

I have got to thoroughly disagree with you. First I do agree that he has a good presentation style and that is basically all he has in my opinion.

I agree with your comments about his experience and his knowledge of what he talks about. So why on earth would you spend nearly £100 and time to listen to that?!

A better solution is to read a few good books or go to various events where you can hear free presentations from people who do know what they're talking about, both on trading and also on investing.

A further point I would make is that it is dangerous because it entices people by the notion that it is easy to make money and quickly become rich, even when you have no experience! Anyone who has tried I believe has found the opposite. It is very easy to lose a large amount of money!

Some people who are enticed by this notion do not have the money that they can afford to lose, for example those who are at or beyond retirement age.

I agree entirely with Ken. The problem with the sales patter is that it seems so full of untruths. Even if there was something of value in there it would be swamped by the BS.

It strikes me that the guy is purely a salesman, nothing more.
