Wondering , guys who r on dealer acceptance with CS , how much time it takes to get them filled or rejected from the dealer , 15 sec ... ? Any experience ?

I am pretty sure I am on dealer acceptance on tradefair (CS whitelabel) - after a few successful scalps each day - I always have to wait up to 30seconds to 1 minute for a fill. They claim they are not doing this on purpose but I have sat next to a friend on his tradefair account - at the same time, and asked him to open trades on the same instrument and size - he gets no problems. I have tested it by getting him to login on my computer, and me on his computer - still the same problems.

It's getting to the point, where I have seen so much profit disappear from delayed fills, that I am thinking of taking to this to the financial ombudsman. It seems this is another sb tactic to penalise successful traders.

Don't worry, you're not alone. There are about 5000 posts on here related to this SB tactic.

Shame really. I wouldn't be surprised if me posting here gets refered to dealer too :),

But seriously - it's ridiculous that these clowns are allowed to get away with it.

When you phone them - all you get is "Well if you have an issue, you should call us and we'll place or close the trade for you"

Which is not ideal when things are moving so fast - especially, since they take on average - 2 to 3 minutes to even get your account number and look at the trade.

Discrimination and flagging of clients is not allowed according to EU MiFID financial directives. In fact, it is my viewpoint that companies that apply this kind of practice should not be granted to hold on to their SB licence. You cannot rig the table at a casino and get away with it. SB companies that do not respect rules and regulation set up by the regulation authorities should be under special investigation and surveillance. If misuse of this kind is not immediately corrected the license should be withdrawn from that company in question.

you think dealing in the real market is instant?

exactly my point. your sys goes down or you are off the desk. call a broker-takes time.

and jack-exactly. you always have the option of not dealing with the individual bookie/market maker.

Well, I don't think this kind of problems is what is actually being discussed here. Very high demands should be placed on the SB company, for fair play and appliance to the rules that actually exists for the SB industry. Yes, ultimately the responsibility falls on the trader, where and how to trade, this doesn't mean one should justify foul play, does it?

Scalping + Spread-Betting is doomed to failure. You know it's not welcome and the spreads really matter when scalping so why flog a dead horse? Go dma..simples..

TBH anyone attempting to scalp using SB is a dummy IMO, apparently FXCM welcome it and ODL but why bother if that's your game? That's not to say it can't be done, heh I know a guy works off 3 min tfs on cable only and does well for 2 hours 'work' a day...

What always amuses me is folk go to these lengths to prove something, when in reality the solution is obvious...open an account with someone like Alpari, use meta trader, and just watch those pounds roll in...What tf you working off?

ODL has a painfully slow platform, so anyone trying to scalp will be doomed. FXCM sounds promising when/if they start doing indices.

gle-nobody is suggesting foul play, i'm merely saying some people live in a fantasy world. "iwant it all and i want it now" seems to pervade these SB guys. jesus if the market moves agaionst me and i'm out i still have to call my broker and if i give him an order i may still miss the price. that's the market. get over it.

as for scalping SB's-you get what you deserve. there's no such thing as free money-you're legging over somebody-if it was me i'd probably send round a bloke with a large hammer and a map of your knees.
