It's not good for either party imo.
Trump's logic is sound though. US v China big BoP deficit.
So if he halves that trade he'll halve US BoP deficit against China.
What he doesn't factor in however, rising cost, reduced trade and substitutes filling void. Will US be able to compete with rising costs against a bigger rest of the World better cost value products? Slippery slope to no where imho.

Regardless of Trumpnomics, WIKI Monday the s&p opened down 24 and went up all day, today the s&p is looking to open down 30 so its going to go up all day again! Thats what it does.
