Hello
Yesterday I updayed Windows XP with 4-5 new updates. Since then I have been having a problem. My dial-up connection will only connects at 33kbps compared to the previous 50.6kbps. I suspect that the "CXT modem software update released 02 October 2003" is responsible.

Any ideas on how to rectify the problem?

How can I remove items installed through windows update?

Cheers

If your using xp it's easy.

Take the system back to the last restore point. (At least 2 days ago.)

Haven't got xp on this computer, (have to crank it with a starting handle to get it going, it's so old.)

But It's start, help, and restore my comp, then follow instructions.

I think. Others will tell you if I have missed something out. I wont be able to check until Monday.

The update that's causing problems is KB832894.
I've had problems logging in to TWS. I've uninstalled this update to see if it's the culprit.

ps. must add, I'm not saying this is your problem.

If someone has the driver that was before "CXT modem software
update released 02 October 2003" I´ve would really like to have it.
Because with this one I can only connect at ~33.0Kbps and with
the previous one at 46.6Kbps. So if someone could help me out I
would really appreciate it. And I can´t roll back ´to it either sence
I´ve reinstalled Windows.

Belarc Adviser will tell you whether or not your hotfixes have verified or not. You can get it here: http://www.belarc.com - its free to download.

Start/Control Panel/Add Remove programs to remove any that don't work.
