Hi all,

I hope this is an appropriate request. I would like to get some idea of the importance traders here would put on the following features of a trading application:

  1. Block trading
  2. Open positions
  3. Position stops and limits (with ability to instant close out any position)
  4. Swap liquidity table (display from selection of CCY pairs / notional / tenor)
  5. Volatility levels (with alerts?)
  6. Forward curve
  7. Economic calendar
  8. Market snapshot / rate monitor (tracker)
  9. Trading recommendations / forecasts
  10. Heat maps

I would really appreciate if you could tell me the #1 thing you couldn't live without (and why if possible) and if anyone has time, give me a quick 1-10 order of importance on this list.

I hope this is not a big ask, and will really help me to understand the value of these features.

many thanks,
Luke

Hi, I just want to bump this thread please: it would be really helpful to me if a couple of experienced traders here were able to lend me your opinion. Thanks in advance...

Charts
quantitative methods like neural networks, option vols, interest rate spreads,
fundamental views and economic forecasts
market sentiment

I think this is enough ,... I have a fundamental view ex say short eur/pln and then i would build up my positions based on daily weekly charts and other methods mentioned above

I also tend to follow news from websites like bloomberg, ransquawk.com, quantumsquawk.com, seekingalpha.com for analyst reveiws
