Ok so there is so many platforms to choose from, there are literally dozens that look good to go... from your experience, which Forex Platform is the most genuine, reactive and easy to use. And in your opinion which has the best charts and the ability to look at numerous markets simultaneously?

Any help appreciated, Doomberg :D

I would say it better to go with MT4 couldn't say that is the best one, by it is definitely the most popular one and you can find a lot off extra stuff, custom indicator and information.

I have multiple instances of MT4 running as different brokers have different spreads and instruments

you should definitely stay away from Market makers, since they trade against you,
regarding the platform, it depends what kind of trader you are,
if you are a long term or day trader,
then you can use just about anyting with decent charting capabilities,
live news in the platform is a big plus,
if you are a scalper you should not even be looking at MT4
then you need something with 1 click and millisecond executions,
maybe currenex or simular broker with DMA
personally I tend to shy away from MT4 brokers since it came out that brokers can
sabotage your trades with the virtual trader plugin module.
so who is the best? can't say cus Im currently looking for one,
two that I have my eyes on is Advanced Markets and Divisa Capital

I am now trading with Oanda and FBS, both are working fine for me.

I think for higher capital Oanda is the best market maker, it has the largest capital too. I like its tight spread.

For deposit below $1000, FBS may work. I will not say it is the best broker since I haven't withdraw any money yet but I am impressed with the trading execution speed till now. My known persons who trade with them always receive withdrawals.

I do like Oanda but leverage 1:50 is too low for my account deposit.

50:1 is an advantage. 200:1 or more is an incredible disadvantage.

Most don't think this way though, most think that higher leverage is good. Most lose. Is there a relationship therefore between high leverage and losing?

Good post! but I think it depends on what kind of traders we are talking about,
for a beginner, 100:1 and more would be an incredible disadvantage,
because he is most likely to loose money than to win money,
the result would be that he will loose money
so much faster with 100:1 compared to 50:1,
on the other hand, for a seasoned trader who knows what he is doing,
100:1 and more would be very advantageous to him,
because he will make more money.
it depends on your own ability
if higher leverage is good or not,
I believe it is very individual,
I think that if people isn't prooven winners,
they should use as low leverage as possible.

I like Oanda, and now that they are offering metatrader I am really pleased.

Only negative that I see is the tight leverage, and that actually may be a blessing.
