Good Day everyone,

So I must admit I was scammed, by Infinity International Group. I wish I had found this forum sooner as to not have lost my money.

My question is what can be done and how do we stop these scammers, I see allot of articles about the same company that scammed me. Is there not something that can be done to stop these people?

Hi Jason, same here. I do have a plan and would need to make contact with as many investors as possible.

Document the conversation and make sure that you get into their nerves by asking all kinds of questions.
Afterwards, forward the script to the FCA.
Learn to tell these crazy marketers off.....

Try thinking in the first place.

It's pretty harsh but scammers only exist because people want to believe the unbelievable or want to cut corners.

Obviously, some scammers are very professional but the majority can been seen a mile off by anyone.

At the end of the day in most cases people scam themselves.

I agree, Im getting absolutely fed up of calling my house phone from my mobile and then trying to sweet-talk myself into buying coloured stones even though i dont have any and then (and really this is crazy!! you wont believe this..) I actually go and pay one account out of another and its only then I realise I've just been scammed
Every single time i fall for this guy

I like to see how long it takes for them to hang up..

Answer the phone and say... "Ohhh Yes that does sound interesting, hold on while I grab a pen"

Then wait.

11 minutes is the longest so far

Easy to fix

Trust no one, as they are all scammers

so whoever they are or whatever great investment they have,
never forget its not designed for us to make money

there are no free lunches in life (unless your a banker)

Trusting no one is a good opening gambit for sure. Whether it is fellow posters lying about their trades or people selling something.

Most traders are more than smart enough to earn their start up capital in the first instance but then never apply the same smarts to their trading.

We humans love to take short cuts and love to make money. When the two are combined it becomes easy pickings for others.

Why people continue to fall for systems that offer stellar growth is baffling to say the least. Rich people get rich slowly and through hard graft for the most part. Never through someone emailing or calling them offering deals of a lifetime.

I have not been scammed because I have, always, cut the call dead as soon as I realise that it is a cold caller.

I am not criticising because, as there are so many complaints, there must be a reason for getting caught. It must be a psychological thing. Could you explain how it is that you got persuaded?

Ha I use a similar technique... "Interesting but I need to now more, please tell me everything there is to know..." then just leave the phone on the side, you can hear them rabbiting on for ages :)

But that wastes your time. That is, probably, part of the reason----I hate telephones! For me, it is an instrument to convey messages with those I know, not for buying stuff from unknown persons. I get irritated if I do not know who is calling and hang up at once without saying anything.

They are not worried if you let them talk on for a while, that's their job. Probably nine out of ten calls get cut off, it's the tenth that brings in the gravy!

There will always be scammers and vagabonds where there are hopes and dreams .....and where the sheep are grazing the wolf is never far behind....

just try to stay smart and dont get fooled into saying yes ..........weve all been there and learned the hard way ..........just make the lesson count and dont get to fooled again

its part of life so dont beat yourself up..........write off the debt to lessons learned

and you could post a poster 50 foot high and people will still walk into the seminars and get bombed...........as we are human .......and programmed to fail

Get a loud high pitched whistle.
They are off in under 10 seconds.

One comes on regularly, I'm sure that he is a robot so whistles won't do any good.

"This is your financ-------" Clunk! Phone down!

I wish they would hurry up and put a call blocker button on the new phones, which remembers their number !!

Utter nonsense. You want to blame the victims?

People get scammed because of lack of knowledge primarily.

Get off your high horse for heaven's sake. "Try thinking in the first place" - charming...

Perhaps, it could have been expressed more delicately but essentially the telephone, these days, must be treated as an instrument that lets strangers into your house.

I'm afraid that people are obsessed with this stuff. They get in the way on the subway stairs, stopping dead in the middle of a crowd of people and, once on the train, subject their long suffering fellow passengers to the most inane oneway conversations. Dodging around people on the phone is becoming as much a nuisance as avoiding dog crap.

This need to talk on the phone is, probably, one of the reasons that conmen
get so much business. Certainly, the telephone companies are doing well.

There should be a much more vigilant scrutiny imho of the content held by the IPOs like Google, this should include porn, violence, crime etc.
If a street corner vendor sells food that makes people sick they get into trouble. Why the authorities let them get away with it where they cost people money I just don't understand.
Make it the IPO's responsibility imho !! They can chase the scammers !! They have huge cash funds and tech people.

Just another example of weak willed people at the UN etc. and probable collusion of scummy politicians.

I am not suggesting that scamming should be ignored. The politicians have the resources but we, the people need to play our role and make sure they do enough to drive scammers out of business. Saying it's not our problem or keeping quiet as you seem to be suggesting just lets the criminals off the hook.

If we don't push the politicians nothing would be done to stop this menace imho.
