Weird display from charts

Hello,
From time to time, when I use IGIndex or E*Trade charting it does weird things to my screen. It's hard to explain but after a while the display goes weird - I get lots of very thin red lines across the screen and also I get like a ghost of the chart so that even after I minimise it, it is still there. I believe I have the latest version of java installed on my computer. Does anyone have any suggestions? Cheers, Tom

I think you've posted this in the right forum - hardware issues. If you've got a spare, try swapping the monitor. If that doesn't fix it, try swapping the video card.
