Lotta difference between sports/trading.
but in general practice really means nothing.
You can practice 100s of penalty kicks and get the one wrong in the game.
so what matters is the nerves.
You've never played sports then. Both are 90% psychological. They don't practice for physical performance. It's all about being 100% mentally and developing a gameplan. If you trade sim on $100M buy power buying random **** and saying hey I made $10K today, of course sim is worthless. You don't spend your week practicing hail mary passes and Music City Miracle plays 100% of the time..

On the contrary drtro i play lot of sports. i play cricket and football regularly and irrespective of how much much i practice and try in nets- it all matters in the middle.
If you hold your nerve(assuming you have the talent which I have for sports)- you can do better. I feel I can apply the same psychology to spread betting or to stock trding.
I've been trading for 5-6yrs and can say i'm a lot different to what i started as. My entry points are different- of course come with experience but you also need to hold your nerve.

Still waiting -i fancied shorting the dow at the end last night but the closed market volatility is not to be trusted up 100 down 50 etc, taking stops out.the futures were shown negative this morning but things have changed and gone flat. been out playing tennis the majority of the day but back watching now.

^lol agreed we are in a bull market.i was looking at trying to get in on a reversal to take some reddies.
My first original trade was stopped out in the closed market prior to the dow opening(damn)
im not looking at charts etc but anyone can see the up direction.the ebola scare caused a few jitters but the market has shrugged that off.i hope the market goes through the roof to boost my endowment policies.
