.. it will give up these gains, weak up day to strong down is what is to be expected, remember that today began with Crude $58.90 very low yet BP rose 2.2%.

due to the square root function of volatility markets on balance tend to retrace previous days moves, last weeks range was 140pts for five days, today we have done 115pts in one day.

na my one doesnt shut at 9pm i've never seen that happen. It runs at night on futures and i just have to pay some interest for keeping it overnight

Also, I have had audio problems with a couple of ITMS intra day (10min) analysis. Have you had any problems?

I need a wealth of information before I make my decisions my friend............Its all about those trend lines, I see them in my sleep.

I think I will go loopy when I hit 30 in 3yrs time .......geometric trendline syndrome, a bit like Russel crowe in "beautiful Mind"

Thrilling stuff............

Analysis ..........I am off to cricket practise and I will be back later tonight to re-asses because the rally took me by surprise. There wasn't any outstanding variable that caused the rise other than Nasdaq's immense strength which I alluded to in the morning.

Currencies - no real move to cause a market reversal
oil - no real move to cause a market reversal

Also with the financials rallying in the US today they have already factored in the good news

If 900 on S&P gets violated today I will be very surprised .......

Nasdaq resistance @ 1440 should keep everything at bay for now

I think alot of you guys are underestimating the psychological affect Goldmans has on the market. Analysts all around are expecting Goldmans figures to blow everyone out of the water but thats not to say once they do so it wont have an affect simply because thats what everyone affected.

At the momment sentiment is key, and we have seen today what a positive note on financials can do for the market.

Unfortunately I bottled my crude position even though the entry was absolutely perfect. It was too volatile for my senses so I came out for +9 pips. I know over the next few days I'm going to kick myself on this - watch the China GDP numbers!
