Hello All,

I have a virus in my downloaded program files. As far as I am aware these are small files held on my computer to help open web pages if I go to them in the future. Is this correct, if so I can more or less delete everything in this file.

Thanks,

Breadman

Hello Oatman,

It's called a (columbia dialler) it has something to do with porn. Spyware Doctor found it but wants me to pay $19 to remove it. I have Norton which finds a virus but is unable to delete it . I have run Panda and Housecall which find something which I then delete. But next time I run Spyware Doctor it's their again.

Thanks,
Breadman

Also Spyware doctor said it's location is c:\windows\downloaded program files\installer.inf

Breadman, you can safely delete that "installer.inf" file. I would then delete all your webpage temporary folder contents: In Internet Explorer got to Tools > Internet Options > Delete Files > Check delete all offline content > Ok

If you have Ad-Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy, update and run these now.
