Anyone here interested in a more private /exclusive thread to share some ideas and general discussion ?

We can use the T2W private members area so i'm asking for names here then I pitch it to T2W and we set it up

Just post here to pre-register.....sure the freaks will post as well but their chances of entering the Old Gits will be as about as successful as their Trading.....

i'm just sick of the Clowns now appearing (reappearing?) here on the general boards and would prefer to spend a little time occasionally in the company of others who are actually interested and experienced in trading and are probably vendors/mentors / Trainers as well (its still not technically a crime in all Countries !)

the agenda will be 100% loose but at least we can have a place to go where we dont get newbies and freakshows appearing ........

I'm just looking to get people in who have been around the block a bit.....as newbies have enough here and elsewhere to keep them happy ....and the freakshows are not at T2W for decent forum discussions anyway

Its a noble concept, certainly would eliminate the moronic element thats for sure.
In a similar vein to what the Hare alluded to, my own feeling is nobody is
going to share outright details of anything that works.

As far a T2W is concerned, history is littered with fiasco's such as the Grey1 incident.
By that I'm not implying anything or taking sides there.
It does highlight the fact that such actions can be driven by ulterior motives,
or as I suspect in the case of Grey, his ideas were plagiarized for financial gain.

TBH one of the best books I've read on business (and trading is a business) was
Duncan Bannatynes.
I distinctly remember him saying that he would not give details of his
formula for new health club placements to his competitors for the price of a book...
Same in any field.

Nevertheless, it would still be a place to post whilst avoiding the tard element.
Whether T2W feel that would be choking off the content supply to
the never ending muppet parade drawn by ads and google rank
remains to be seen

Its still a good idea though, all the above aside,
it would certainly be better than the current state of affairs...

(I don't know, because they banned me for pointing out that someone who had a website selling trading education / systems / managed accounts etc, should be considered to be a vendor, and badged accordingly)

If I was interested in discussing ballroom dancing, then I wouldn't join a forum dedicated to carp fishing, I'd join a ballroom dancing forum. Just pointing out the obvious really

I don't mind the way things are. Trading gems get posted here and there but are camouflaged amongst the lulz and nonsense so that only the intelligent and attentive can recognise them, which is how it should be. I couldn't endure a private forum where only the "experienced" traders from T2W can post because I find most of them to be insufferably pretentious, I'd rather mix with the freakshows...which is probably where most people here think I belong anyway :cheesy:

It's a decent enough idea NVP.

The problem is one of trust. However much we may wish to engage at a higher level, experience tells us that trust only goes so far.

Difficult one I think. The straight trading threads like the S&P500, scalping FTSE, Live Trading, etc are free of the playground stuff - as are other threads which discuss things seriously, even though things sometimes get heated.

Against that there are many threads which could have developed into interesting an adult discussion, but which are destroyed by the lulz merchants.

I suppose the answer is to be selective in what you look at and hit that report button when decent stuff is getting ruined by the kids in the playground.

Lalaland! Lord, how much torment am I supposed to bear? Trading records to admin. determines entry to forum - RR => x% per annum is the key.

Ten dollars says the forum would be empty and the site T2W collapses within 20 days thereafter.

The advertisement could run, "confirmed successful traders posting here" and like this similar ad to draw tourists to Martinique and Guadloupe, would draw them in by the ship-load - heck it would be so attractive that many would ride atop a 100 metre tsunami just to not miss this HISTORIC EVENT wherein the poor, beseiged, buggered trader has a windfall beam from the Heavens - a miracle.
