Printer problem

Hi Folks

Have just updated my Dell computer with a new printer using the installation wizard. However I cannot get anything to print to it as the printer port LPT1 still is set to the old printer. I have set the new printer as the default printer and restarted the system. Problem still there.

How do I set the printer port LPT1 to my new printer? Any help greatly appreciated.

Have you deleted the old printer? > control panel>printers> delete what youre not using

Still Having Printer problems

Hi Folks

My Epson Stylus Color 500 inkjet printer heads are blocked due to not being used for the past 3 months. Unfortunely I only discovered this after installing 2 new ink cartridges (black and color). No amount of running the automatic cleaning cycle has worked so I am going to have to leave the heads soaking overnight in special cleaning fluid. As I have only fitted new ink cartridges what is the best way to store them on removal. The manual says that once cartridges are removed they cannot be reused but I really do not want to go to the expence of buying another pair of new ones.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Don't buy expensive cartridges. Do a Google.
