I just started to do Automating trading with SignalTrader. It seems like my net% is going towards the positive mark. I just opened an account a few weeks ago. Is it worth actually to invest?

I am curious about this and can't find all answers in ST's FAQ's or trading guide - but maybe you have looked at these questions aleady? -

ST will open a new position for you based on a trader's signal: but you still won't know why he/she opened it or what is the plan to manage the trade?

you can close positions manually but can ST close them automatically for you?

if you don't know the trader's strategy and trade plan, how do you know where to place stops or when to close?

auto Trading

If you go to Signal Trader, you choose the System you want to follow, and based on the system trades you are basically doing everything that it is doing. I don;t know which formula they are using exactly, but they give you the statics on the website. Have you Auto traded before

Do they do demo ?

Just been there and the answer is - YES

got all accounts filled at 1:1

fingers crossed

Never even thought about doing it, but ST looks less like automated trading than it does automated entering. There's more to this job than picking a good entry.

But are they picking good entries? Without knowing how they're doing what they're doing, how do you know they're not just making 10 random entries and then selecting the one that moves first to log and pass on? OK their equity curve might look positive, but what about the other 9 trades they scratched? (all hypothetical of course, I've never heard anything negative about this company)

-6.43 already
I doubt they could cherry pick results as Tom suggests

I reviewed the website and the stats it seems legit, however, what is this a good idea. I have had mixed views on automated trading. Does it work? SO far, my loss is not extreme, but is it worth investing money in?

I read the blurb on one of them which said it was part manual at the trader's discretion.

So why would I use the automated system than if I can trade Manually, I would prefer to just trade with the Systems. Thats why I joined Signal Trader?

Binary is a scam...i dont want anyone calling me...that is why is chose Signal Trader, no one brothers me to put more money in...

Some of the % gains are impressive. There are 3 over 200% .

There is a minimum joining balance of $2,000 though.

I tried but failed to get an answer as to where the company is registered.

I too was wondering for the same but was not sure about it. It's good to see a good discussion on this topic here; now, I am quite assure to go forward with it. Thanks for the information you guys share here.

Automated trading has several benefits over the conventional trading and the best is that the emotions can be avoided while trading.

IF and it's a big IF ......it's profitable.
Think of the extra time you make to do other things while your pet system is chomping away and making money. It's no brainer mate.

If you get an EA that works then awesome but if not then it could all go horrible long. If you buy an EA you are essentially handing your money over to an unknow system that you have not tested. Many EAs work great in trending markets but go horribly wrong in flat markets

MT4 has a testing module.

It is only a matter of time before someone cracks the profitability in all markets problem.
And when they do then what ? Perhaps brokers will ban them or have to trade the real markets.

It would be only worth it, if you select a trader who has never lose. You need to understand that you couldn't find a one like that.

I doubt there is any automated software that can work on retail forex platforms. Connection will be always a problem. I trade manually with HF after testing different EA's I gave up this idea :)
