help: most frequent question for trading interview

I m a recent grad n wil b giving interview for a prop trading firm
coming week.

I want to know the possible answers for the most frequently asked
questions during trading interviews:

Why you want to become a trader??

some ans plzzzzz :?:

ps: i have heard from some ppl , the prop firms tend to grill a lot
on the above questions n its hard to convince them.

There's no point in telling you anything. You won't get the job. The fact that you are asking what you are asking isn't good.

Why don't you apply for a job cleaning your local exchange?

You don't need to be very innovative for that position.

Futher down the road you may get to know the right people. Nudge nudge, wink wink.

They will be bored stiff of hearing whiney grads bleating out half-baked crap they found on the internet. For this reason, I suggest you turn the tables :

Fix them with a beady stare, and say "Why did YOU want to become a trader? Hmmmm?". After they've answered, say "Yeah, me too".

Surely this is the easiest question to answer. If you don't know why you want to be a trader why are you applying? There is certainly little point people here giving you a canned answer because you will then fall at the first comeback question.

Try answering it here with a post and people will probably come back with the sort of response a trading firm would give you. This might help you think through a sensible rationale for your careeer choice and you might even believe it yourself.

That is probably the most asked question AND the most important. If you mess it up, no way will you get the job.

Make sure to demonstrate:
1) Active interest in the markets, economy, finance etc
2) Any past experience trading would be preferable but not essential (if have it, exaggerate it whatever...tell them that you did a stock picking project and came in 1st)
3) Discipline, humility, entrepreneurial spirit, stamina, and motivation
4) And lastly, you want to make a lot of money and hate routine!!!
