Aha! It may not be of any use to anybody, but at least I know how to attach a chart now!!

Short at 4410 (futures). Just popped through the 77% retrace and cam back down. Also hit top BB. Might hold this one, have to see how today and tomorrow pan out.

I read my mail Bonsai.....but nothing in it to light up the path.

mully
havent done one yet.
having expected a failure around 4385, I have to stay with the
uptrend while ftse stays above the 1 day.

but I am still expecting a failure, so no change yet.

PM sent Bonsai

edit: and someone sent me an message( Robert, i think)....well yours truely has deleted it so if you want to send it to me agian. Sorry:)

Bonsai, couldnt you get the link from my old post on the thread?

jhavent even got the email anymore with the original source on it so cant help there, sorry. Luaghed at your mix up but good to know for future reference

well today is day that will screw up at the stats based on OHLC data.... Open was the low and close was the high.

grr
made something of a mess of today.
there was a good single trade all day from about 75
for 30 pts.

instead finished with +6

serves me right !

having seen ftse, dax and the dow today, I suspect there may be a lot of hindsight talking tomorrow ?
300pts on the Dow in 5 days is no mean feat.

so a new high beckons but if it doesnt arrive on Ftse, it will be
like the Duke of Wellington said "A damn close run thing" !

ftse now quoted at 4405/9. so all those who think we will make a
new high should take advantage and go long now.

me ?, no thanks. I'll sit this one out.

mully
I tried to do a new wave count for you last night.

I am not entirely happy with it but fwiw here it is.
It leaves some questions unanswered and it would be difficult to
argue that if the Dow now moved up 100pts that Ftse would not
move to a new high.

so I may yet need to make a new count within a few hours ?

Bonsai,
Thank you for your work.
I keep on looking at the August peak in 2002 (4466.4) as being too close to not go and visit. I think this was the peak of wave (iv) in the decline of 2002. (I am of course referring to the EW tendency for any reaction to a trend is to visit the area of the previous wave 4.

And of course, while we still see higher highs and higher lows it is still prudent to assume a positive trend to the index. (Despite its rather laborious progress over the last two months.)
