FTSE 100 February

hooya
lol

my rsi has turned up at 40 and a/d now looking stronger (43)

so you never know.

What I forgot to add is that we now need to see a higher high [4409.3].

10,600 still possible. nice round number, also a lower high from the 10,700 peak. should keep everyone, both bulls and bears happy for a bit longer??

having said that, im still wary about these after-hours dips.

only 2 and a half hours to go...

this afternoon is going to be spent mostly getting leathered in a turkish restaurant, so can someone please send for me if the FTSE goes sub 3,000

thanks

FC

if you are looking at the U.S, it may be worth your while to keep an eye on that 'triangular' formation on S&P
Dow may be too jerky.

Hooya,

I think the saying goes ... if a 5 year old can see the pattern, then it is probably valid. Otherwise, it is just a figment in your imagination.

The old K.I.S.S principle

that's the one mully, although it looks a bit better on the 2 min time frame
hope you dont mind but have superimposed my count on your chart to illustrate the triangle

Does anyone have any idea where i can get a list of the shares in the Ftse 100 in 1995?

Thanks in advance

jamie roberts

Bonsai,

Your count is bullish. I am presuming that you are seeing this current SP500 consolidation from 1155 as wave 4 with a final wave 5 to come?

Anyway that is my current interpretation. With 3 sub waves to both D and E.

[This is all secondary to actual market action]

if I am not mistaken that would lead to a break up after D and E complete???

I wouldnt be so quick with the thanks on this one jamie.

not on the web I don't think

you could try phoning ftse international and twisting somebod'y arm or Investors Chronicle even, if you are a subscriber ?

thanks bonsai, its for my third year dissertation. have been using current FTSE 100 but it doesnt fit my hypothesis, found that out only after i have completed all the calculations!

I will keep looking!

yes, mully, you are right it does have a bullish bias.

do I think we will make a new high ?
I really have no idea.

I suspect the breakout may not be as important as what happens at the apex.

I do have old copies of the FT somewhere in the loft but I don't have a scanner.

sorry
