Brexit Remain Rage

PS: I am not in favour of listening to politicians in order to find the best leader / policies. It is naive and subjective. It is like listening to car salesmen in order to find the best car.

Choosing a leader is another emotional decision.
Best anyone can do is pick one that feels right and then replace them quick if the wrong decision was clearly made (ie they are crap at leadership like Corbyn or IDS or Brown)

Out just in time before the nasties in Brussels start tightening the screws of the 4th Reich.

Best is just find the socialist - then pick any one of the other ones.

A socialist is someone who takes from the workers to pay themselves to further the cause.

That's more like a description of an entrepreneur - someone who takes from the workers to pay themselves to further the cause.

Seems clear that there is plenty enough support looking to galvanise around the Brexit candidate for leader. What is also clear is that candidate will be Leadsom.

So next week, we can expect to see the backstabbing Gove butchered by the MP's and his standing in the first round vote relegated to a poor third place, or worse.

May, may have secured 100 MP backing, but there are an awful lot of MP's who have not declared (powder dry)

List of Tory MP's and which side they are on.

I cannot see any reason why the final 2 will not be voted on by the party membership and as stated previously, i'm calling it for Leadsom.

They lost the vote and are now acting like " cry babies ".
Buckle up and make a success of whatever imho.

Whilst I agree with the last bit that we'd better just get on with it, I am also pretty miffed that such an important decision was made on the basis of lies and half-truths. No surprise that the brexiteers have been back tracking on most of the claims they used to persuade people ever since.

If that's being a cry baby then I am in tears :)

We certainly have to go into negotiations re our future relationship with the EU with a united viewpoint with a clear bargaining position. We can get a lot out of the hand we have dealt ourselves (rightly or wrongly) if we can do some hard bargaining. We will fail in this if the EU can exploit weaknesses and civil strife within our own side. Its more important now to unite quickly and formulate the strongest plan and team, than to dash in for short-term political convenience.

So, with all that in mind, I'm now hoping the Labour opposition does not succeed in defeating their socialist militant hardliners and re-organising itself quickly - that will allow our negotiating team of politicians and civil servants freedom to act and present a united front. Opposing exit or promoting a new referendum now will not help the UK.

We need to find some face saving way out of this mess. I'm sure EU will accommodate us in our search.

It is in the interest of EU just to show us the lay of the land (as in that diagram of current agreements/choices below) and ask UK to take her pick.

Both sides know the score and what's on the table. Going back with cap in hand asking for a better deal as some suggesting is a non-starter imo. UK losing credibility on international stage imo.

Take back control and our sovereignty sounds great now they must deliver. What we now have is Tory and Labour party split and badly fractured with coconut boys all on high. Northern Englanders thinking they are better than the hard working migrants who most have come from the Commonwealth anyhow which is what was prescribed by leave camp as opposed to free movement within EU. Confused bunch the lot of them. :whistling

I agree that UK had better get on with it because that is what EU members will be doing.

I only read the Spanish papers, but La Vanguardia quoted Churchill today, when it said "When someone does something stupid, don't laugh. It may present you with an opportunity"

Nowhere near an exact quote, but I think that you get the meaning.

Big business will be looking for opportunities. Now, they are looking at EU offers. NOW!

You have no government, yet. Get cracking!

The new government will have to make business life more attractive in the UK than in the EU. Let the immigrants be. They will not come if life is more attractive, elsewhere.
