Brexit - in or out

Spoke to my daughter today, she mentioned Brexit, she has only met 1 person wanting to remain, she works in an office, and all round the area where she lives are banners and flags saying leave, Manchester area..........if we stay, then UKIP will keep the flag flying till we do leave......:)

Not much 1/4 left today - most 2/7 with some at 1/3 for stay and most at 5/2 for leave. There's a go wave building.

I see project EU fear is being driven again. This time by the he OECD which is comprised of many EU nations.. No surprise there.. It's all rubbish protectionism at play. They can keep on spewing this garbage out and it just makes me harden my narrative even more

I can't believe Conservatives talking up wages and promising the labour man he'll be paid higher salaries. Vote Brexit and WE'LL get rid of migrants or stop them on our non-existent borders and your wages will go up!

What's the world coming to???????????????????

Why isn't Labour making these noises???????????????????? :cheesy:

Something smells fishy. Very fishy???????????????????????:whistling

You lapping it all up!

I'm still waiting for the small businesses to speak up for the remainians, but in the weeks that have passed it hasn't happened, only the large business, corrupt elite have spoken, so the contrarian stance is 'out' as the safer option.

Interesting read, The UK has serious problems that will become more evident if she leaves EU. That she spends more than she earns, is the basic one. It has to show in the devaluation of the currency over future years as she has to borrow more with higher rates of interest and the insidious QE and the deteriation of core services, such as NHS.

Nevertheless, staying in will not solve them, either. The EU cannot keep its currency, the Euro, stable by depending on the the richer states to support the poorer ones, for much longer.

The EU needs a restructuring of policies, NOW- not in the years to come. We know where the wealth is being created, don't we?---east of Suez. We, either, compete with them, or become subjugated by them. The choice is ours.

Poor socialists-both in the UK and elsewhere. They mean so well, but they must balance the books or poverty will be their reward. That this is proving impossible by the Conservatives is a forecast for the future years.

2/7 stay across the board this morning and 11/4 leave. With 80% of bets going to 11/4 leave.

Looks like the overblown scaremongering is beginning to backfire.

I can"t believe that the most important decision facing Britons in their lifetime is being reduced to yah boo politics and fact twisting by both sides. There seems no attempt to properly debate the pros and cons, just a total rubbishing of the other side's views and argument.

......and this from our leaders and prospective leaders God help us.

Coz people take to good news and shy away from bad.

1. Brexit and your wages go up

2. Betterin and whatever your gripes will just get worse, well into your retirement and death bed - either way.

No contest :whistling

That's the problem with the establishment, snouts in the trough, maintain the system whatever the cost, pure self interest.

I think people are beginning to see through it all.

This One makes me laugh. Lord Sugar, that well known entrepreneur, at least that's what he would have us believe. Not a bit of it. All he does now is manage a property portfolio which relies on massive excess demand to grow both rental income and in turn increase asset values.
The TV programme is just a smokescreen, a way of portraying him as One of the people.

Lord Sugar is a legend. (y)

There you are rubbishing any opinion that is remotely opposing yours.

In terms of business acumen the apprentice and dragons den encourages the spirit of free enterprise and should be commended. Nuggets of knowledge, ideas and learning available in both programs serves the nation and aspiring business minded people.

Conservatives championing raising wages for the joe blogs...

There's a reason for that of course. I'm right, end of.

I didn't mention Dragons Den, where we at least get to see the little man's struggles to break through the various barriers to entry. Of course, if he does manage to break through cos he has an exceptional idea, big corp will soon pay him off and out the door. That's the way it works in the real world, just so as you know !

Now how come it doesn't surprise me that you lump all people together.
It may have escaped you're notice, but there are different shades across the spectrum. I am all in favour of cooperation, where everyone shares the rewards but also carry a share of the responsibilities. To the exclusion of having a boss who takes all the reward if successful and is also rewarded if he fails. He then moves on to exploit the next opportunity.

There really is no point in you pretending to know my mind.

On Lord Sugar before I forget.
He also has his snout in the govt trough again.
Just been appointed special business advisor under this govt, a role he also undertook for Labour.

Another example of double standards.

Jeremy Corbyn on the EU.
Today he launched into the EU debate, telling Labour voters they must vote to stay.

This is completely at odds with what he thinks about the EU and he has consistently voted against in all of his parliamentary career.

Mmm, I think that one is reasonable. He is presumably speaking as leader of the Labour Party and its policies which are not necessarily his personal view.

At least the Tories gave the choice of a free vote, not that they had any choice in that decision

Labour ! What hasn't already been said about that complete shower ! (n)

Aye and pretty dangerous, too. It's been said before that labour are unelectable but they do have the seats so, when people want to get rid of the current government, they'll vote labour - anything else is just a protest vote.

It's a frightening thought that Corbyn and his crew might taste power.
