Anyone scalping the FTSE Futures??

Gold is so well behaved on longer timeframes.

i just want to take a little bit from them every day. They still make a profit from my spread.

I had two trades today, both shorts on dax. One loss of 15 points, and one gain of 21 points

Predicteted gains CFD trading

Sry for the slow reply - I day-trade in a scalping style, so it's been really intense here this morning. To belatedly answer your question(s), I get a variety of info from different sources (the usual suspects like: squawk, industry news feeds etc). I also have a few contacts. This morning I got a heads-up and then all hell let loose. As you saw, the traditional news feeds are too slow in a fast market.

Hi All
Just want to run this past you to see if I'm missing something.
I've effectively only recently started serious trading in the last week, and had some good results on the FTSE. Out of curiosity I've run a prediction calculation based on trading the FTSE using 1 CFD per £500 and assuming a gain of only 10 points per week (2 points per day) with a starting outlay of £2000, I find that after 4 years (200 weeks) the gain would be £89300 by then trading 178 contracts and gaining £1780 per week. This doesn't allow for tax

Ive shown just the 1st years prediction below.

Am I missing something or should we all be wealthy ?

Nothing missing except that you never make a loss.

9 1688 4 -150 :devilish:
10 1538 4 -150 :devilish:
11 1388 4 -250 :devilish:

I was going to PM this but as I publicly ridiculed him I thought I should post it for everyone.

Hi Mark,

I have to say what you are suggesting is exactly the right thing to do.

Slow accumulation over time without withdrawing the capital.
The only thing youve missed is that after time you can increase the stake as the capital increases, plus you need a system that will allow you to make consistent profits every day for 4 years. :clover:

I would certainly agree with you but the prediction is based on NET gains.
For example , on Tueday I gained 30 points with 1 loss 2 gains, today stupidly only made 10 points because of 2 losses. l
I'm using 4 points stop loss. I'm at £2111 currently .
