A Trivial Issue

Please could someone help me with a very trivial problem?

I have installed Tradestation 8 and selected the option to have the Tradestation Logo automatically be set as my default Desktop Wallpaper.

I have removed the logo from my desktop wallpaper, but I still get it coming up when I first turn my computer on. It is shown for a few seconds before I am asked for my logon username / password.

Does anyone know how to turn this off - I used to just get a blank screen.

I do realise that this is a very trivial problem and apologise for this question having nothing at all to do with trading, but would be grateful of anyone's help!

Many Thanks

Damian

You could try going to the registry key
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop
and edit the Wallpaper string with the path of the background you use
there may be another, easier way however.

I had the same problem yonks ago when I was in Win98/ME. After a few sessions it just cleared itself up.

Either that, or create a blank image (I seem to remember a used MS paint to build a 1024x768 plain black canvas) and set that as your default wallpaper. That ought to then replace your TS Logo.

Probably.

Thanks all for the suggestions - i'll see what I can do and let you know (if you're at all interested!)

Oatman - yes mate it's set to 'none' which is what's puzzling me.

Cheers
