Hehe ;-)

Just for the record though, all these pics are from the web, so unfortunately not my watches or my shoes.
:D

I'm quite a fan of IWC - the Big Pilot and Da vinci in particular... also like the look of the Franck Muller "master banker" watch

Yes Arb, they are lovely those two :)

IWC has come out with a new Da Vinci, but both old and new are very nice:

Old:

And the successor, think that came out last year or so:

If you like the new Da Vinci, you might like the Patek Philippe Gondolo Calendario too:

Here with a Daytona:

Not a fan of diamonds in watches, myself, but hey, each to their own, and that apart, a very nice collection that he has.

City Watch Club

Trader Monthly are offering free membership to the City Watch Club - basically posh evenings where you can go an ogle/man handle some rather tasty timepeices, and hammer some champers & snacks on the house at the same time. See above link for details.

Sorry not rich enough! I wear a Tissot, priced just over £200. I like it :)

I wear one of these usually

Have one of these waiting for a service (at one time I couldn't manage without it, until I took it off, and it's been off my wrist for a couple of years now)

and aspire to wear:

Or

(these are really cool; they were designed for submariners, the face flips along the vertical axis, so it has two faces, it's a Jeager le Coutre)

and might throw a DayDate in there too. I do appreciate watches, a bit like pens; for some they are a just for using, others can admire them. I think being ostentatious and spending money on a watch / pen / car / whatever are two different things.

All, IMO, classy watches.

I think a handmade watch is first and foremost a wonderful piece of exceptional craftmanship, in addition to being a peice of art, jewellery, an expression of style, class & status... aside from its most basic functionality of timekeeping.

You certainly dont need to be a wealth flaunt to want, desire or wear an expensive watch.

i recently bought a Paneria 114, love the simple design and looks of the watch, and the fact it's so easy to change the strap to suit anything you wear ( the big girl i am:cheesy:) only down side it's hand wind - and i am lazy and it's loud, i can hear the ticking from a good few feet away.
