Are these numbers for real ? where r they ? i c same members over and over again ...

tar, there was a thread a couple of years ago asking essentially the same question.

look at all those members who havent posted for over a: 12 months, b: 6months, c: 3months.

active memberships (including at least 1 post, or a revisit after signing up) is very small.

I would argue members who havent revisited in last 3-6 months are lapsed.
Not countign multi-nicks, vendors, etc.

redart may not be far off. I will be generous and say, 500 - 1000 max. (there may be members who belong to private forums, etc)

There are a little over 1000 users online right now, of whom slightly more than 200 are members.

Over at Forex Factory, there are 7000 users online right now, of whom a little over 1000 are members.

Why T2W has that "200K Members" gold medallion thing at the top I do not know, although it is patently ridiculous and the only reason I can think of for having it would not reflect well upon the person who decided to put it there.

oops fat finger :D

Don't worry about it - give it a little while and your "fat finger figure" will be correct. I can easily see 18,000 vendors and sharks joining over the next few weeks.

It's to make certain that vendors and potential vendors pay dearly to market to this huge, sophisticated and targeted audience. ;)

Oooh sharkeys online.

You've had it bandit. Comeuppance ftw!

What can I say, hermano?

My Puerto Rican a$$ ain't supposed to have made it this far. Most of my crew got washed a long time ago.

But don't worry. My heart, it don't ever quit.

I ain't ready to check out.

If you go to quick links, members list, and then arrange by "posts", you will see that there are 5753 pages of members, 30 members per page. It claims that there are in fact only 172,575 members - perhaps the missing numbers have been banned, but are still counted in the overall figure. This seems like a huge number and percentage to have been banned, but of course I don't know what the explanation is.

Anyway, out of the 5753 pages of members (30 per page), 4818 pages are fully composed of "members" who have not a single post to their names. Not a single one. That is 144,540 out of a total listed of 172,575 (83%!!!) who have never posted, or if they have, have had their posts removed. Assuming that the page is inaccurate, and that there are actually a total of 213,000 members, many of whom do not show up on the members list, that is still 68% of "members" who do not have a single post to their names.

IIRC only a select few have been banned, hence my explorations in that matter.

Using the same search, there are 4735 full pages (out of 5753) of listed members who have not even visited the site this year. Not one look in for the whole of 2010. 82% of the "members" on the members list have not looked at the site once in the whole of the last year.
