XP internal firewall problem

I already have the Sygate Personal Firewall Pro in my computer. Yesterday I added XP's internal firewall, and problems began to surface. My ADSL connection was frequently cut off most of the day. Is it because the two firewalls are incompatible? Is there a way to use them simultaneously in my machine? Thanks indeed.

I have read somewhere that it is unadvisable to run two software based firewalls on a system. I have sygate on my computers, with the windoze firewall disabled. I feel this along with my router firewall is more than adequate. You might want to check with Sygate forum if you really want to run both.

With regards to the second link, I think the statement is a bit drastic. I was able to simply turn off XP's firewall, no need to uninstall.

Sygate firewall is much, much better than the Win XP one anyway.

Right, should not run two firewall (or two anti-virus) programs at the same times.

You will need to turn off one of the firewall's and as others have suggested it should be the WinXP that is turned off.
