Why was author of best thread banned?

he was a multinick serial pest and a general nuisance with posting of lulz that caused widespread thread disruptions.

but other than that, seemed a likeable chap :)

Relatively speaking he didn't post child porn, didn't steal forum members money.
I would be very happy if he was allowed back. I think the bad influences he had have been banned for good.

If someone's thread is so good that it is better than commercial threads generating revenues , it would create a conflict with commercial interests.

It is like me selling stuff on the forum, which I don't,and taking interest away from sellers.

That would be a good reason to ban a good threat contributor.Conflict of interest.

Can't you just let him back? I think its obvious now he wasn't the bad apple ...

something really just isn't right here, members are signing on that are barred full stop! i had the shock of my life yesterday to discover by accident that a certain bid a batty fellow has posted, another pixie loving chappy is very likely at large, amongst many others that are roaming the boards free, i despair sometimes i really do :(

btw has anyone seen options?

If you don't know what's going on, then heaven help us mere mortals.

Good question; no. Where is he? I hope the strange cult / trading school (probably the same thing) he has been mixing with has not done him a mischief.

shh, i'm trying to feign surprise at all the new nicks talking to each other, to catch them off their guard ;)

probably right now tied to a chair and gagged so as not to spill any beans :cheesy:

whats the bet edgetrading is phill lol

No, I'm not phil. But in light of his banning, I was just wondering whether or not it's worth reading his whole thread. I spent a lot of time following another thread, but the methodology failed to work for me, and I don't want to repeat the experience again. I'd therefore like to be confident a thread is worth reading and experimenting with, before beginning.

Hi edgetrading,
I'm afraid I have some bad news for you. What you ask for is impossible. There is no 'one size fits all' thread with ideas or strategies that work for everyone. You have to take from each post on each thread that which sits with your view of the markets and complements your existing ideas and beliefs. There are no short cuts that I know of. Most important of all is to ignore the messenger and focus exclusively on the message alone. There are lots of excellent and worthwhile posts that have been written by people who have subsequently been banned. Equally, there are many posts that are complete rubbish written by long standing members who have a high post count and 'Legendary Member' by their name. I'm the author of a fair few of them! However, that's not to say that the only people worth listening to are those who have been banned! Like I say, the message is what matters, not the status of the messenger, be it banned, legendary or somewhere in between.
;)
Tim.

If you like that sort of thing, then I think you'll find that it's the sort of thing you like (to probably misquote Mark Twain).

As I remember, his posts were usually very entertaining, although got a bit mad towards the end. I seem to remember that his trading style wouldn't have suited me, but you may find that it suits you.

It can be very instructive reading a long thread all the way through, and not just about trading.
