Which cryptocurrencies are best to invest in?

Hi, fellows!
I am interested in investing in cryptocurrencies. I have only invested in stocks so far. Can you advise me which cryptocurrencies are suitable for investment?
Can you share your personal experience? Any tips? 🙂
I reckon that Bitcoin has always been the best.
Part of what makes bitcoin so valuable is its scarcity. Bitcoin’s maximum supply is limited to 21 million coins. Currently, there are 19 million coins in circulation.

Investing in cryptocurrencies is highly speculative and carries significant risks. As of October 2023, several cryptocurrencies have gained popularity among investors, including Bitcoin (BTC), known as a "store of value"; Ethereum (ETH), which supports smart contracts and decentralized applications; and Binance Coin (BNB), a utility token for the Binance exchange. Other notable cryptocurrencies include Cardano (ADA) for its sustainability focus, Solana (SOL) for low transaction costs, and Ripple (XRP) for cross-border payments despite regulatory challenges. Additionally, Polkadot (DOT) enables blockchain interoperability, Chainlink (LINK) connects smart contracts to real-world data, Polygon (MATIC) improves Ethereum’s transaction efficiency, and Litecoin (LTC) offers faster transactions than Bitcoin. It is crucial for potential investors to conduct thorough research, assess their risk tolerance, and consider diversifying their portfolios, as well as consulting with a financial advisor before making investment decisions.

BTC and ETH remain solid picks, but SOL and ADA are gaining momentum fast. Curious to see how the market shifts in the coming months
Looking back a few months later, it’s interesting how SOL held up while ADA kind of lost steam. BTC and ETH are still the anchors, but it feels like capital’s rotating more selectively now. Anyone else shifting focus lately or sticking with majors?

Hyperliquid is interesting right now - one of the founders was on Unchained podcast the other day, came across well, and their community / social presence continues to grow. Made a new high last week.

I started in stocks too and recently moved into crypto — it’s definitely more volatile, but also exciting. I’d suggest starting with well-established coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum to get comfortable. Don’t go all in at once; instead, invest small amounts during dips and keep an eye on news that affects the market. Also, use a platform that gives you proper tools and market access — that’s helped me a lot. Most importantly, never invest more than you’re okay with risking.

I've been holding $BONK since 2024. Just under $2.8bn mcap as I write this. Price has done very well recently. If you believe in buying and holding trends (rather than moonshot 'am I too late for 1000x' psychology) I would look into it for rest of 2025. Solid "tokenomics". Plus the linked token issuance platform (Bonk.fun) has recently become dominant in market share of Solana token issuance. Over 50% of Bonk.fun fees are used to buy-back and burn BONK tokens. Just a tip as it can be hard to sift through the memecoin space, DYOR as always.

I was in the same boat — started with stocks and slowly moved into crypto. For beginners, I’d recommend sticking to major coins like Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) first. They’re more stable, have strong backing, and are widely used. Personally, I started small with ETH during a dip, and it gave me a good feel for how volatile the market can be. A few tips: never invest more than you’re okay losing, avoid hype-driven coins, and use a reliable platform with real-time support. Also, keep an eye on news — crypto reacts fast to global events. Diversify slowly and think long-term!

My go-to crypto investments remain Bitcoin and Ethereum—they’ve stood the test of time. For growth potential, I also watch Solana and Chainlink. Stick to utility, avoid hype, and always manage risk.

I don't know a coin can x hundres times but you want good investment. Just pick any coin that has real usage like LINK, WLD, SUI. Of course the top coins ETH, SOLANA, BNB are good choices too.

FYI for transparency. I had a Pauline conversion with regards to memecoins shortly after this and and got out of BONK (for a profit, thank God). Price has went down since I wrote this, and I haven't been keeping up with the community but I think their market share in the Solana token launchpad space has been decimated also.

I had held since 2024 and was in the red for a decent share of that. So I did have genuine faith in the mechanics of the tokenomics, that the unit bias would appeal to the psychology of new retail investors, etc. But I finally got sick of the delusional "commentary" in the space (picture endless meme posts of photoshopped price charts with stupidly long green candles) and the fact that community leaders and big bagholders began heavily shilling other memecoins. I like to keep up with my investments, so couldn't avoid all of this while holding.

Hey, it'll probably rip next altcoin boom (don't they all?) but I don't care. Just happy I don't have to pay attention to it anymore. Now I'm BTC only with my crypto holdings. I'm comfortable holding that longer-term.
