And what hobbies to ya'll do when your not trading/researching. I personally am a squash man myslef.

haha ok well what does an equities trader do when the markers close (when he has all his trading done)

actually, on a slightly serious level, is there any hobbies that employer like other than poker etc etc

he gets bored because Equities are easy and then blows all of his money on FX, booze, Roulette, and Poker.

Family/Friends/Fun etc... Step away from the computer Is what I reccommend.

Joking apart, I've just qualified for the next round in a poker tourney if I get through then it's a trip to London for the final table of Nine. Top prize is a new Aston Martin DB9 coupe. It was a freeroll entry

Well I find observing a bit of porn now and then helps rouse noble emotions that can assist a traders observation skill set.

So maybe that's one to lay on to the firm ?

This is a light hearted thread and nothing more

I generally do 4 fitness activities a week, 1 5ml run, 1 circuit training, 1 20ml bike ride, cut down on being a gym rat, just the 1 cardio/weights session at the gym for a couple of hours. I water ski and kite surf when time/weather permits, used to take off by myself for the odd break with my tent but have done that less since discovering trading...Other hobbies? World cinema is a big passion of mine and, I collect and restore *stuff* of value...
Spare time mainly taken up with the kids/family, we try and have 2 holidays in the summer/1 winter and weekends away when possible...

Oh, I'm not a prop trader, so no idea what they do..
